The IdeaPad S10-2 is a great example of that, as is the partially-new, multi-touch ThinkPad T400s. Frankly, the ThinkPad T400s that emerged in June wasn't all that different than the original ThinkPad T400. The T400s offered a slimmer profile, a tweaked keyboard, a few new internal hardware upgrades and optional WAN connectivity. The new T400s, which is equipped with Windows 7 and a multi-touch display, adds one major feature: touch.

But really, is adding touch input to an already decent notebook enough to make you think twice about buying a Lenovo? Or better yet, could it convince existing T400 and T400s owners to upgrade? In the pages to come, we'll take a look at how think machine performs with a new operating system. You would think that using the same chipset would make each device very similar. If you did think that, you would be partly correct, as some things are quite similar. However, what’s different between each of the media players is the type of output connections you have as well as menu interface and other software based features. This is where the Icy Box jumps out ahead of the pack, in our opinion.

You find lots of travelers carrying a 2.5 hard drive in their bags. The high capacity and the small size of such devices allows you to carry lots of extra data, or even a backup of your data with you all the time. LG decided to be a little more innovative with their 500GB 2.5 drive and the result was LG HXF1 Portable Theatre.

Packaged in a nice little box, the HXF1 comes bundled with a USB cable and a composite cable. Unfortunately, you’ll have to spend extra on getting an HDMI cable if you want to get Hi-Def output. Along with these cables, LG includes a carrying pouch and a CD with application and drives. Finally, a remote is also included to allow you to use the unit from a distance.

The HXF1 is more or less a 2.5 hard drive that is a bit bigger in size and offers audio/video output. You connect it to your computer like any other external drive- through a USB 2.0 connection and it appears as a drive on your desktop. Then all you do is copy your data or your videos/photos/music on it and thats about it.

The only drawback that I have with the majority of the boards, with the exception of the 790X board, is that the SATA ports become blocked or partially blocked when using large video cards. It would be nice to have all the boards using the 90 degree SATA ports like the 790X board has to eliminate the issue. Other than that small quirk, these are rock solid motherboards that have a lot to offer the user, without breaking the bank. If you are in the market for a mid range board without all the frills of the higher end ones, then the Gigabyte lineup would be a big asset to your systems.

With this in mind, we can see that quite often at these presets, the HD 4770 isn't that far behind the 30 FPS minimum we want to see at 1680 x 1050. With a small detail drop, we would be able to get up and over that 30 FPS minimum and that is good news. Depending on the game, you'll probably find that you're able to get over 30 FPS at 1920 x 1200 at lower quality image settings.

As for the package of the HD 4770, it doesn't disappoint with a number of applications included and while the cable department did look a bit bare, when you have a look at what's going on in the I/O department with native VGA and HDMI being seen, you can understand why there weren't many cables included.
