OCZ Z Series 850W PSU Review
JonnyGURU.com posted a review on the Cooler Master OCZ Z Series 850W PSU

Since 80 Plus began their certification program to help us consumers find the most efficient power supplies out there, power supplies have sought to make the most of the program by making their units more and more efficient. Before too long, 80 Plus added new classification ratings to their program (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) to help distinguish between high efficiency units.

Of the four 80 Plus certification levels, Gold has been the hardest to pull off for power supply companies. Requiring efficiency levels of 87%-90%-87% efficiency between 20% of full power and full power operation, it is a difficult design endeavor indeed. Today OCZ becomes the first 80 Plus Gold unit to be tested at the site. Come on in, and we'll see what a Gold unit can do on the load tester. This should be interesting.

Gigabyte GTX 260 Super Overclock Review
HardwareLogic takes a look at the Gigabyte GTX 260 Super Overclock video card

It might seem silly to post a GTX 260 review this late in the game, and it would be if this were any other GTX 260. But what sets Gigabyte's latest iteration apart from the competition is an aggressive overclock that makes this the fastest-clocked GTX 260 in the galaxy. Just how fast is it? While Nvidia's reference design calls for a 576MHz core and 1998MHz memory, Gigabyte goosed the GPU to 680MHz and supercharged the memory to 2500MHz. That's enough to edge out EVGA's SSC Edition by 5MHz on the core and almost 200MHz on the memory, and leave most other GTX 260 barely visible in the rear view mirror.

MSI X340 Slim Core 2 Solo Notebook Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the MSI X340 Slim Core 2 Solo Notebook

MSI's X Slim Series of notebooks 'challenges the limits of ultra slim computing.' With the MSI X340 Slim Notebook in our hands, we are already impressed with the combination of it being lightweight, slender, and very functional with a large 13" screen and full size keyboard and trackpad. The MSI X340 Slim Notebook also has a very unique, modern design that is fashionable and will leave you wanting to show it off wherever you go.

The MSI X340 Slim notebook surprised me a bit. It has an innovative design that makes it have a professional, sleek look and it does not lose functionality for the sake of style. The keyboard is large, and the keystrokes are soft and comfortable. The touchpad is in an awkward place, but I am glad that it can be turned off with a function key. From the student who likes to take notes on a laptop to those that like style along with an ultra-portable solution, the MSI X340 Slim notebook fits the bill...

HIS Radeon HD 5870 1GB Video Card Review
TweakTown posted a review on the HIS Radeon HD 5870 1GB Video Card

It becomes hard to review the same card over and over again. We have companies who make the effort to send their product so of course we make the effort to review it. At a launch, however, we've got many companies who want the coverage, but 90% of the time the only difference between the cards is a sticker and sometimes a game in the bundle.

What we need to do when it comes to looking at the performance of the card is to mix it up in how we compare it. We've already had a look at how the card compares to the main competitors. We've then had a closer look at how it compares to its previous generation sibling, the HD 4870.

Cocoon Innovations CLB551 Laptop Case Review
TestFreaks posted a review on the Cocoon Innovations CLB551 Laptop Case

Today for review review I've got another case from Cocoon, but this one is for laptops up to 15.4" in size. It also features their GridIt system, along with several pockets and lots of room for your stuff. I was truly surprised by just how much stuff I could get in this case and still have room left over. Like the netbook case, this one is also nicely made and should offer decent protection for your laptop while providing room enough for all of your stuff.

Zotac GTS 250 AMP! Review
XSReviews has reviewed the Zotac GTS 250 AMP! graphics card

The G92 core has been around for a while now with Nvidia utilising the GPU in a number of different cards making sure to keep renaming though so as give the illusion of a new product altogether. The core has evolved from the 8800GT to the 9800GTX+ right up to the GTS 250.

This latest card uses a 55nm process tapping into both the heat and power consumption reductions combined with decent overclocking scope. So, as Zotac are prone to doing, they took the original GTS 250, used their overclocking prowess and came up with a new revision -- the GTS 250 AMP!

The shader, core and memory clocks have all been increased to extract maximal performance and so with any luck we should have a card that can deliver a similar price vs. performance ratio as ATI's 4850 and 4870 offerings. Let's see what it can do.

HDD vs SSD on a Netbook Acer Aspire One D250
iGadget Life compared the performance of HDD vs SSD on a Netbook

My Acer Aspire One D250 came with a standard mechanical hard drive, and recently I acquired another SSD drive so I figured why not swap the HDD out for the SSD as that seems the popular way to go these days. Now I knew the read and write speeds of the SSD would be much faster than the lowly 5400RPM hard drive, but I was curious as to how much of an actual affect it had on the system as a whole though. I wanted to know just how much an SSD effects everything in the system and not just the transfer rates or read/writes. So of course I took the time to run a whole lot of tests, not only comparing the SSD to the HDD but I ran system wide tests as well to see where anything might be different, or if anything had improved elsewhere besides just the reads and writes. So read on t find out what I did

ThermoLab BADA Review
OCC has published a review on the ThermoLab BADA

The ThermoLab BADA heat sink was packed sturdily and was one of the top performers in testing, beating out similar-sized and even some of the
larger heat sinks. The manual was very readable with no discernable typos or major grammar problems as can be found on other heat sinks and products that are produced overseas. The fins were straight as was the base. The base had some minor scuffing that could easily be fixed with some lapping. For only having three heat pipes this heat sink performed far better than others with even twice the amount - proving that the number of heat pipes does not always make the difference, but that design quality does.

AMD Athlon II X4 620 Review
PureOverclock has published a review of the AMD Athlon II X4 620 processor.

Not since the heyday of the original Athlon has AMD really stuck it to Intel, but this new Athlon II X4 sounds very promising. Sure it's inexpensive, but what about performance? Is it completely handicapped by the lack of L3 cache that its larger sibling the Phenom II carries? Can the new Athlon Quad overclock any better than recent AMD offerings, and if so, just how far can it go? We'll answer these questions today, and there are some very interesting surprises in store for you.
