AMD FX-8150 Bulldozer 2600MHz DDR RAM Overclocking
TweakTown overclocked the AMD FX-8150 Bulldozer 2600MHz DDR RAM

The Corsair CMGTX4 and CMGTX7 were two of the fastest RAM kits available at the time; they carried with them a huge price tag and 'till today, the speed on the GTX4 kit is just insane. Both kits are dual channel, but neither would achieve their rated speeds. While overclocking on the Z68 platform is great, its memory overclocking is limited and actually not as strong as the older P55 when it comes to raw MHz. Having unfortunately admitted defeat on these two kits, I never got around to actually looking at them, because we couldn't get the default speeds.

This has all changed, though, with the release of the new Bulldozer platform. Today we've thrown these two kits in our testbed with a couple of other kits and CPU / Chipsets and we're able to see the kind of speed we're able to get out of the kits here while also looking at the evolution of memory performance from the older 1100T to the powerful 2600k today. We just wanted to have a bit of fun here today and concentrate on the synthetic side of things, so we just fired up AIDA64 to see what kind of performance could be had in a MB/s capacity.

AMD FX-8150 Black Editon CPU Water Cooler Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the AMD FX-8150 Black Edition CPU Water Cooler

When AMD launched the Zambezi-FX processors this week based off 'Bulldozer' core architecture the realized that these 8-core 32nm processors might need enhanced cooling. To solve this situation, AMD decided that with the FX Series CPUâ€:tm:s they would have an option for a retail boxed processor that includes a self contained water cooler rather than the typical air cooler. This is the first time AMD has ventured into offering a water cooling kit for the public and we have it on the test bench!

The AMD water cooling kit is very nicely made. AMD took an off the shelf cooler from Asetek that closely resembles the Antec Kuhler 920 water cooler. The changes AMD made, do make it better than the Antec H2O 920. The other changes made by AMD are mostly cosmetic branding changes and some software tweaks to the GUI and fan settings...

Logitech's Wireless BoomBox, Good Vibrations via Bluetooth
HotHardware posted a review on Logitech's Wireless BoomBox

So why on earth didn't more of the major players think of this one a long time ago? With all these people walking around with Bluetooth-ready music to stream, why not design speaker systems and portable boom boxes with Bluetooth connectivity as well? Perhaps I've been living under a rock. I mean sure, there are a few Bluetooth ready speakers out there from the likes of Bose and Creative but there really aren't that many when you think about it. And who the heck wants to "dock" mechanically? Uggh... dude,
that's so 90s.

Then, out of nowhere, Logitech pops into my inbox offering up their Wireless Boombox for evaluation here at HH. I'm thinking, okay, who was the marketing rocket scientist that came up with the naming for this product? I'm slightly miffed at Creative's weak attempt; now Logitech is stepping up with an 80s retrofit? God help them. I'm already cranky.... SURE, send it over. I'll be gentle, honest.
