The Future of Open Source Education and Adoption
OSWeekly looked at the future of Open Source Education and Adoption

It’s been amazing to watch how the open source movement has grown from something that only a fanatical few were aware of or involved with into something that Joe and Jane Everyday User are beginning to be familiar with. Now, I’m not saying that these everyday users fully understand open source and truly get what the benefits are of this development approach, but at least we’re beginning to break down the barriers to understanding.

MSI K9A Platinum AM2 Review
HEXUS posted a review on the MSI K9A Platinum AM2

If CrossFire isn't your dual-graphics brand of choice, MSI also offers a similarly specified board called the K9N Platinum based on Nvidia's Nforce 570 chipset. There are both SLI and non-SLI versions available of the latter, too. But enough of the alternatives. Let's find out what the K9A Platinum has to offer.

ASUS EAX1950PRO video card
Elite Bastards take a look at the ASUS EAX1950PRO video card

One of the intriguing prospects, beginning with the Radeon X1950 PRO, is that ATI are no longer provided their reference cooler design to AIB partners, leaving them to choose either to take up ATI's own design or go with a cooler of their own. ASUS have chosen the latter for their EAX1950PRO, as well as opting to boost both the core and memory speeds of their board slightly from reference clocks. Thus, the EAX1950PRO runs with core and memory clocks of 580MHz and 700MHz respectively.

Zalman Reserator 2 Water Cooling System Review
Tweaknews.net posted a review on the Zalman Reserator 2 Water Cooling System

With the introduction of the Reserator 2, Zalman has taken a great product and made it even better. They've addressed a number of issues that I found annoying in the earlier versions and improved the performance dramatically. I like the new look a lot and the enhanced cooling is augmented by new safety features that make the Reserator 2 an outstanding product. Silent PC aficionados will find the increased performance very attractive, allowing some moderate overclocking without any noise penalty.

Abit AW9D Max Motherboard Review
Pro-Clockers posted a review on the Abit AW9D Max Motherboard

The AW9D-Max is Abit's second motherboard to date that supports the Core 2 Duo. The first was the AB9 which is based on the Intel P965 chipset. But their top dawg is the AW9D-Max. A full feature motherboard that sports a great color scheme as well as a host of other things that may make this the board to have.

Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 - Overclockers Board
BCC Hardware posted a review on the Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 motherboard

We’ve recently had a chance to play with one of the most overclocking friendly motherboards on the planet - the Gigabyte 965P-DQ6. This board is for the LGA775 Intel platform is comes ready for Core 2 Duo and supports Core 2 Quad with a BIOS flash. If you are all about performance, tweaking and overclocking and really want to push your CPU and memory to the limit - this Board's for you. The only downside is the price, and if you are a hardcore overclocker, Gigabyte is betting that you'll pay a little extra for some 12 Phase Power. Take a look as we push things up well over 400Mhz FSB on our E6600 and have a little overclocking fun.

KuFormula VF1 Plus VGA Cooler Review
Bjorn3D posted a review on the KuFormula VF1 Plus VGA Cooler

In this review I will utilize the KuFormula VF1 Plus VGA cooler to tame the burning desire my video card has to combust into flames. While there are at least dozens of various aftermarket VGA cooling solutions available at the time of this writing, it seems Sytrin has introduced something that stands out as unique and different in a sea of similarity. Using copper-based heatsink with dual heatpipes, the KuFormula VF1 is a formidable cooling solution on its own, add to it the radial fan system and anodized aluminum RAM heatsinks, and you have yourself one superior package for your VGA space heater.

Asus M2R32-MVP CrossFire Xpress 3200 Motherboard Review
PC Stats posted an Asus M2R32-MVP CrossFire Xpress 3200 Motherboard Review

A year ago we would have never expected to say this, but ATi's CrossFire Xpress 3200 (aka the ATi RD580) Northbridge and SB600 Southbridge combo are as strong as the equivalent chipsets from nVidia. The Asus M2R32-MVP motherboard is moderately priced for a socket AM2 platform. The M2R32-MVP supports all Socket AM2 processors from the AMD Sempron to Athlon64, X2 and FX processors. There are four DDR2 DIMM slots which accommodate as much as 8GB Of DDR2-800 memory. The two PCI Express x16 slots are obviously for videocards, and Crossfire Edition videocards in particular if dual-card gaming is your thing.

Gigabyte 3D Rocket II Cooler GH-PCU23-VE Heatsink Review
PC Stats posted a Gigabyte 3D Rocket II Cooler GH-PCU23-VE Heatsink Review

Following in the footsteps of the 3D Rocket and 3D Cooler before it, the Gigabyte 3D Rocket II GH-PCU23-VE heatsink takes a similar approach to cooling the full spectrum of processors - but with an aim towards reduced temperatures and noise output. The bright blue LEDs make Gigabyte's 3D Rocket II cooler a great candidate for windowed chassis. The GH-PCU23-VE is compatible with socket 478 & 775 Intel Pentium 4, and socket 754/940/939 & AM2 AMD Athlon64 processors

ATI Radeon X1900 XT 256 MB Review
techPowerUp! posted a review on the ATI Radeon X1900 XT 256 MB

ATI's new X1900 XT 256 MB is designed to fit into the price range that is bound by the X1900 GT on the lower end and the X1900 XT 512 MB on the upper end. In order to bring the card's price down ATI chose to reduce the total memory size from 512 MB to 256 MB. Also a bit slower memory is used. We test how big the performance difference to the more expensive X1900 XTX with 512 MB is.

ThermalTake Mozart Tx Case Review
GideonTech.com posted a review on the ThermalTake Mozart Tx Case

Fresh from Thermaltake, let me introduce the new Mozart TX Case. This is not a standard case, in fact, it is larger than any case I have used at home to date. Not only is it very tall, but it is cube style and thus much wider than a standard case. Also available are four expansion kits which can turn it into a full blown media center.

Everything USB completed a review of LaCie's PORSCHE Design Biometric USB Hard Drive.

The new model is blessed by 128-bit Triple DES hardware encryption, but due to this protection, the drive's transfer rate slows to 16MB/s from the usual 25-30MB/s.
