How smooth does your mouse move? Today, I get the pleasure of checking out the Nova MicroTech gaming mousepad. Compared to some of Nova's other mousepads, the MicroTech is a bit smaller than others. For that reason, I decided to check this one out using my laptop and wireless mouse.

As I mentioned in my previous Nova review, their mousepads have the uncanny ability to stick to anything but water, and even that is negotiable. The MicroTech is no different. Sitting in my living room, I stuck the pad to my coffee table beside my laptop. It's hard to turn away when Sci Fi is doing their 31 Day of Halloween. So with Warwick Davis jabbering about gold in the background, I proceeded to check out the pad.

Whatever that came first, Thermaltake's BlacX is the HDD docking station that popularized this product in the industry, thanks to Thermaltake's brand itself as well as excellent marketing that brought it to the table. A few months later, we've seen a steady amount of such products saturate the market -- if which most of them now communicate with your computer with standard eSATA and USB 2.0 interfaces. Not only are they compatible with standard 3.5 inch desktop hard drives, but also 2.5" units typically associated with laptops and the such. You'll never know how useful such a product is when you have a bunch of hard drives needed to be swapped on the fly. Anyways, derivatives of the products in the same category go as far as adding a card reader or even a dual bay reader. In a market economy system, it's safe to say that having more brands to choose from isn't necessarily a bad thing, since more competition will inevitably cause better and cheaper products. Today, we'll be looking at a hard drive docking station from iStarUSA -- you may remember them from our iStarUSA T5F-SS review a few weeks back. This time, however we will be taking a look at the iStarUSA xAGE-N99-SAU. Our only complaint is that... can't they come up with a more creative, or at least easy to remember name? That said, let's crack the box open and see how it goes.

This board was a pleasure to work with. It was very stable and overclocks very easily with either the dip switches, via the BIOS, or using the AMD overclocking utility. The scores speak for themselves this board was built for gamers in mind. The 790GX and SB750 combination provide the power needed to run any system and MSI takes that combination and puts it in a very solid platform for your computing pleasure. The Circu-Pipe heatsink design keeps the DKA790GX Platinum at safe operating temperatures even while overclocked as far as I had it. Not once did it get too hot or did I need to add extra fans to cool it down. Having the memory on the outside slots also helped keep the air flowing well. I was kind of scratching my head as to why they place four of the SATA ports at 90 degree angles and not the fifth one. With large video cards this could pose a problem. This board is a very stable platform for any gamer or power user and with a great chipset you could not go wrong.
