NEC MultiSync 24WMGX3 Review
XSReviews has reviewed the NEC MultiSync 24WMGX3 TFT monitor

Thanks to advancements in technology and reductions in manufacturing costs over the last 10 years, TFTs have become more and more prevalent to the point where you can pick up a 22" for just over £150. In contrast to that, the highest end ones, are still damn expensive with the benchmark of 24" monitors often being the Dell Ultrasharp models costing around £400. However, to buck the trend even more, NEC have released their latest high end 24" iteration, the 24WMGX3 costing around £650. Think it could be worth it? Let's find out.

AMD Phenom X4 9950 Review
Hardcoreware posted AMD Phenom X4 9950 Review

We have just published our review of the AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition CPU. This is currently AMD's fastest model desktop CPU, released this past summer. The good news is that after a recent price drop, it can be had for under $200. The bad news is, it still has to contend with Core 2 Quad CPU's in the $200 range. In this review, we compare it to the Q6700, as well as a Q9550 which represents a $100 budget increase.

The results are, well things aren't looking good for AMD, and with Core i7, it could get ugly. Check out the full review for all the details!

Thermaltake MaxOrb EX Heatsink Review
FrostyTech posted Thermaltake MaxOrb EX Heatsink Review

The Thermaltake MaxOrb EX is almost an entirely copper heatsink based on a novel three-fin-segment circular design, featuring a half-dozen copper heatpipes and speed controlled 120mm fan. The radial heatsink resembles a few Zalman coolers, but the construction is completely different. Each heatpipe is given its own individual copper or nickel plated aluminum fin array, so essentially every fin is put to work evenly.

Guitar Hero World Tour vs. Rock Band 2
OCModShop compared Guitar Hero World Tour vs. Rock Band 2

Improved Rock Band instruments is great, but they don't really seem to hold a candle to the new Guitar Hero gear. For one, not only is the new Guitar Hero controller better made, but it is now "full sized". It is much bigger than the toy-like wireless Gibson, which looks like a ukelele when slapped against my immense torso. The new GH guitar also has innovative solo buttons, but unlike the Rock Band buttons, these are touch sensitive and have a much different feel. It almost feels like you're finger-tapping a real guitar (without all the pain), but it is very easy to lose your finger placement (and your fingers need to be spread out slightly farther than when holding the fret buttons). Switching back and forth between the touch slider and the fret buttons will undoubtedly make you miss a few notes while getting your bearings.

The GH Drums are also improved over Rock Band. Instead of four Toms and a foot pedal, these drums have three toms, two cymbals and a foot pedal (that's SIX controls!). Playing drums feels a lot more like the real thing than playing guitar or bass, but these new drums somehow feel more authentic. The cymbals spring back a little better, and all of the pads are touch sensitive.

LanCool Metal Boned PC-K1 Chassis Review
ITreviewed posted a review on the LanCool Metal Boned PC-K1 Chassis

Lancool's (a brand owned by well respected manufacturer Lian-Li)
latest offering is aimed at the mainstream gamer and enthusiast in the mid- to high-end market segment. The PC-K1 (around =A385) is a relatively
subdues midi-tower chassis that cuts straight to the chase. Exquisitely cut from aluminum and steel, the chassis is a good choice for the discerning
needs of enthusiast level gamers not interested in garish accessories. A really
neat feature is a little flip-open dust-free lid on the top cover which
reveals multimedia I/O ports for easy access. Under the lid is an I/O bracket
which accommodates two USB 2.0 ports, a single IEEE1394 port, and HD+AC97 Audio in/out capabilities. The chassis supports full ATX and micro-ATX form factor motherboards and has a secure power supply bay designed to keep it rigid during transportation. When it actually comes to building your machine it couldn't be easier. Thumbscrews remove the need for any tools, the top panel can be removed or replaced, and cable management is a synch - special cable clips on the back of the motherboard tray secure in-the-way cables. Heck, there's even a removable motherboard tray, letting you install the motherboard on the tray outside the case - goodbye working in small space! To not underestimate the PC-K1's unassuming looks - it's one heck of a good chassis.!

Dell Studio 1735 Review
InsideHW.com has posted article about Dell Studio 1735 notebook

Last month we tested model 1535 from new Studio series of notebooks from Dell and this time we got another model from same series but with slightly bigger dimensions. For all of you that missed that review we will say that Studio series is intended for home users. Dell Studio 1735 belongs to DTR category (DeskTop Replacement) of notebooks and because of that, most of its characteristics are predetermined. When we took Dell Studio 1735 out of the box we experienced a dvu which was expected because the only differences in design from 1535 model are bigger dimensions and presence of numerical keypad

Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo VGA Cooler Review
OCC has published a new review on the Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo VGA Cooler

The Accelero Twin Turbo was the winner in every test. The factory heatsink was clearly outmatched by a far more superior product. The temperature differences between the two products were as high as 36 degrees in some tests. At its best, the factory heatsink got within 6 degrees of the Twin Turbo. In addition, the Twin Turbo fans were much quieter than the factory fans at every speed setting. At any speed above 50%, the factory fan was simply unbearable. AIso, I decided not to test the stock heatsink at an overclocked load with only 25% fan speed, in fear of damaging the card.

BFG Tech GeForce GTX 260 OCX Graphics Card Review
TweakTown posted a review on the BFG Tech GeForce GTX 260 OCX Graphics Card

Not too long ago BFG Tech thought that it was time to kick it up a notch and expand upon the popular OC line it already had. Expanding that line, two new OC variants were created; the OC2 which helped knock up clock speeds a bit more than the standard OC models and the OCX which was designed to offer a significant boost over stock clocks.

We didn’t want to look at the card that was just a bit overclocked, nor the card that was overclocked a little bit more. We wanted to look at the big daddy of the GTX 260 line from BFG, the OCX variant. So with that said, let’s check out the package then from there we will have a look at the card itself and a closer look at the clockspeeds on tap before we get stuck into the benchmarking side of things.

SilverStone FT01 Mid-Tower Review
Techgage.com posted a review of SilverStone's latest mid-tower chassis, which features superb build-design and sound-dampening.

SilverStone has become well-known over the years for producing top-quality products, and the FT01 further reinstates that fact. Although the chassis is a bit pricier than others, it's well-deserved. Obvious R&D went into this one, and not only does it offer superb airflow and the lack of a single sharp edge, it's also one of the quietest chassis' we've used in a while.

Aerocool Aeroracer Pro Mid-Tower ATX Case Review
Tweaknews.net posted Aerocool Aeroracer Pro Mid-Tower ATX Case Review

AeroCool's AeroRacer Pro turned out to be a mixed bag. I like the exterior finish treatment and the overall look of the case. The cooling performance was very good although I think a few minor tweaks could enhance the airflow while reducing audible noise. I even like the large power button with its chrome bezel and blue backlighting, but the “ENGINE START” business seems a bit gratuitous to me.

Corsair TX750 PSU Review
DriverHeaven posted a review on the Corsair TX750 PSU

Corsair has been one of the biggest players in the PSU market lately. They currently produce only 7 units but each one of them excels in their respective categories. We reviewed many of these units in the past and it is clear they are extremely focused with their range, they are not flooding the market with a plethora of supplies, just high quality units with maximum quality. Today we will have a look at the TX750, a high output PSU designed to offer great electrical performance at the best possible price to performance ratio. Corsair released the TX750 several months ago but it still is considered to be one of the best choices anywhere close to its retail price. We will stress it to its limits in this review.
