Tuniq TX-2 Thermal Compound Review
HardwareLogic posted a review on the Tuniq TX-2 Thermal Compound

Here at HardwareLogic we don't play games or use smoke and mirrors to try to make products look good. We push these products to limit and compare them against formidable opponents. We strive to give our readers true results, based on value and performance. Today is no different. We didn't pamper this new compound. we put TX-2 up against the most popular grease company around, Arctic Silver. We will get to this is a head-to-head-to-head match up between Arctic Silver 5, Arctic Silver Lumiere and Tuniq's TX-2 soon enough, but first let's a closer look at TX-2.

Gigabyte X38-DS5 & X38T-DQ6 Review
Bit-Tech published a review of Gigabyte's X38-DS5 and X38T-DQ6 motherboards

Simply ignore DDR3-based X38 boards for the time being because there is literally no extra performance on offer - this is very likely not unique to Gigabyte though. Even then, as a top of the range DQ6 board, I don't feel the box package and the overclocking capabilities are where they should be. There's nothing over and above the DS5 apart from different capacitors, a few more power phases and a Gigabit Ethernet socket. The GA-X38T-DQ6 is a good, stable board at stock speeds but I'd still buy the GA-X38-DS5 which does the same for less, without the extra burden that is the cost of DDR3 memory at the moment.

If you feel the overwhelming desire to buy an X38 board over P35, then the Gigabyte GA-X38-DS5 should certainly be one to consider even if you're not that cost concious. It performs very well, has plenty of features, is super stable and has the same BIOS options as the DQ6. However, it's not a great overclocker like an X38 should be and offers virtually no performance advantage over cheaper P35-based boards.

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Graphics Card Review Rev. 3.0
Tech ARP updated their NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Graphics Card Review again

The NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT is based on the new NVIDIA G92 GPU. This is basically a tweaked and G80 silicon die-shrinked using the 65 nm process technology. This allows NVIDIA to cramp even more transistors into the die and yet produce a smaller chip.

The NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT will be available in two "flavours" - the standard 512MB model and a cheaper 256MB model. Both models will retain the same clock speeds and 256-bit memory bus. So, the only real difference is the size of the memory buffer.

At launch, the standard NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT with 512MB of GDDR3 memory will be priced from US$199 to US$249, depending on the vendor and value-added features. The 256MB model will be slightly cheaper at US$179-US$199, again depending on the vendor and value-added features.

That's really quite cheap, isn't it? But will the new NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT make a great Christmas present, or should we be looking for something with even better value? Let's find out in this review.

XFX GeForce 8800 GT Graphics Card Review - G92 Revealed
PC Perspective takes a look at the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Graphics Card

It should be pretty obvious by this point that I really like the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT. It's hard to find ANY fault in a graphics card that cuts $150 off the price of another GPU that it performs as well as. And it uses less power. And it only takes up a single slot. And it's not a paper launch.

Vantec LapCool 5 Laptop Cooler Review
Mikhailtech posted Vantec LapCool 5 Laptop Cooler Review

There are two main types of laptops: business/mobile and performance/gaming. The former prioritizes long battery life, small size, and cool operation while the latter is all about speed with much less regard for the aforementioned factors. In essence, performance laptops are more like
miniature desktops. However both still heat up under heavy usage. Checking email and browsing the internet will let your laptop run for hours without even getting warm, but once you start gaming or doing anything processor/graphics intensive the burn will come. That's where laptop coolers come in. But are they really necessary? Today we'll take a look at Vantec's LapCool 5 and find out.

Freecom MusicPal Wi-Fi Internet Radio Review
TrustedReviews have looked at the Freecom MusicPal Wi-Fi Internet Radio.

All-in-all, the MusicPal is a competent Internet radio. It's easy to use and set up, it has a decent range of features and it comes in at a reasonable price too, at under £100. But it's a fiddle to add BBC radio stations, it's not the most solidly engineered product and sound quality isn't wonderful. It looks like we've still got a bit of a wait yet for a DAB-beating Internet radio to emerge after all.
