With so many different factors to consider when purchasing a laptop, finding the right one can be a daunting task. Portability and battery life are the current trends, along with value of course, which has brought about the recent surge of netbooks. However as I've said before -- and I still stand by the statement -- netbooks are great for simple tasks, but lack the power to be more than a supplement to a real notebook or desktop system.Acer Timeline 14" 4810T Notebook Review
Today we will be looking at the Acer Timeline 4810T notebook, a 14-inch ultra-portable that aims to bridge the gap between underpowered netbooks and bulky notebooks, while retaining the battery longevity found in the latest generation of netbooks. The Timeline has an incredible claimed battery life of over eight hours.
The 4810T is powered by an Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor operating at 1.4GHz, 4GB of DDR3 memory (expandable to 8GB), a 320GB hard drive, Intel GS45 chipset with 4500MHD integrated graphics and Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100 that support Draft-N connectivity.

Samsung offers two lines of desktop hard disk drives - the high-performance Spinpoint F line, and the eco-friendly EcoGreen line.Samsung Spinpoint F1 (HD103UJ) 1 TB Hard Disk Drive Review
The main difference between the two lines is the spindle speed. The Spinpoint F drives have a spindle speed of 7200 RPM while the EcoGreen drives run at a more sedate 5400 RPM.
The Samsung Spinpoint F line currently consists of the F1 family of drives which are available in capacities ranging from just 80 GB to 1 TB, and the F3 family which only has two members - a 500 GB model and a 1 TB model.
Today, we will be looking at the top model in the Samsung Spinpoint F1 family - the 1 TB Samsung HD103UJ hard disk drive.

TweakTown posted a review on the Seagate Savvio 10K.3 SAS 2.0 6Gb/s 300GB 2.5-inch Hard Disk
So far we have reviewed the Seagate Cheetah 15K.7 and the Savvio 15K.2 and found that the performance of both drives far exceeds anything we have in the consumer market outside of solid state drives. Their 15,000 RPM platters make access times lower and now we are about to test the 10,000 RPM enterprise Savvio from Seagate, the 10K.3.Seagate Savvio 10K.3 SAS 2.0 6Gb/s 300GB 2.5-inch Hard Disk Review
Seagate’s Savvio Series products use the 2.5-inch wide, 12.5mm tall form factor that is quickly becoming the standard for enterprise servers. This new 2.5-inch form factor allows for more drives to be used in the same amount of space than traditional 3.5-inch drives. In a 1U, 1.75 inch rack mount server you can fit four 3.5-inch drives, but in that same space eight 2.5-inch drives.

InsideHW.com has compared two high-end P55 motherboards
Intel Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs that are compatible with LGA1156 socket, slowly but steadily are becoming interesting choice for wider user group because this socket is direct descendant of “good old” LGA775 and, of course, price drops. Intel P55 chipset is, basically, following footsteps of previous P chipsets (P965, P35, and P45). It is obvious that soon there will be many P55 based motherboards. For now we got two models signed by ASUS and Biostar which are based on same chipset but present two totally different solutions to the same problem…High-End P55 Motherboards Review

Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme Review
OCC has published a review on the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme
Although this cooler performed well and offered good performance, I did have a little bit of a gripe with the installation process. For one thing, the positive stop method of holding the heatsink used on the original Tuniq tower was abandoned on this refresh. It could have been because of the bad reputation of the brass screws that would strip or break outright. Even so, a positive stop type of mount would have been better. I still wonder why there is a slot for a screwdriver on top of the thumbscrews, considering that there is only about a half an inch above them before the bottom end of the heatsink begins.Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme Review

Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the Kingston SSDNow V 40GB Boot Drive SSD
For years, Kingston has sold system memory upgrade kits to help boost personal computer performance. Installing RAM is a simple process, and it usually helped speed up an old PC. Yet, because the processor and memory both operate at level much faster than the average hard disk, the real bottleneck is the primary drive. Solid State Drives are the ideal upgrade for hard drives, and the difference an SSD makes is far noticeable than any memory upgrade. In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests the performance and speed for the ideal SSD starter kit: Kingston's SSDNow V 40GB Boot Drive SSD SNV125-S2/40GB.Kingston SSDNow V 40GB Boot Drive SSD Review

2009 marks the unofficial eleventh anniversary of the flash memory based portable media player (PMP). In that time, we've seen capacities balloon 1000-fold from 32MB up to 32GB and beyond, with 100+GB promising to be commonplace in the not-too-distant future. The bottom-end of the market now boasts up to 3" diagonal screens, with full touch control and video display as well as music playback. Packing all of this into the sub-$100 category is the Archos 3 Vision positioned as a step above the postage stamp screen media players but also steering well clear of iPod touch territory.Archos 3 8GB Touch-screen MP3 Player Review
