A chassis is one of the most looked over pieces of equipment we use for our computers. It not only has to be stylish, but it has to be functional, make installing computer components easy using little to no effort, be able to make cable management easy, and also dampen the fans or the noise of the components we use.

So today I bring you the Whisper. Built by NZXT, this chassis gives us users a large interior, exceptional noise damping abilites (by utilizing a sound dampening foam rubber throughout the entire interior), makes cable management easy by separating the motherboard and CD/DVD drive area into one chamber and by putting the PSU and HDD's in another. It does all this, while at the same time giving this chassis a stylish look that we will be proud of to show off to our friends and family.

I've got arguably one of the best keyboards on the market for review today the Das Keyboard or The Keyboard, in other words THE Keyboard of keyboards! The Das Keyboard is more than a keyboard, it might be considered a work of art actually, it's very nice to look at with its high gloss finish and blue LED indicators. Looks aren't everything though as we all know, under the keys are Cherry brand gold-plated key switches to provide tactile and audible feedback while typing which provide a typing experience that has to be experienced to be understood.

NVIDIA's and AMD's graphics board partners usually take differing approaches when releasing factory overclocked variants of each company's respective high-end GPUs. When NVIDIA launches a new part for example, their board partners typically have factory overclocked versions at the ready, and at launch, it's sometimes easier to find overclocked cards than stock reference models. AMD's board partners, however, don't usually take the same approach. When AMD launches a new ATI Radeon, the first batch of cards to hit typically follow the reference design to the letter, and custom, factory overclocked models don't arrive until some time later.

That's what happened with the Radeon HD 4870 X2. At launch, just about every Radeon HD 4870 X2 available at retail had the exact same features and specifications. But more recently, a few board partners have introduced factory overclocked variants that take the performance of what is already the fastest graphics card available up a notch. Titan's Cool Idol heatsink is made from three separate aluminum fin sections joined to a copper base by six 6mm diameter copper heatpipes. The heatsink uses one 120mm PWM fan mounted on vibration absorbing rubber posts that is capable of spinning from 800-2200RPM. The use of six heatpipes and three aluminum fin sections is fairly unique, but at 850 grams in weight the Cool Idol is seriously under supported. The bulk of the heatsink hangs heavy on the fragile copper heatpipes, so right out of the box it was leaning to one side.

OCC has published a new review on the XFX 9800GT

The 8800GT used to be a good overclocker, as seen in our review of the Asus 8800GT Top earlier this year. I was expecting no less from this XFX card since it's newer and should carry at least some minor component upgrades, even though this one is the vanilla version. I was able to reach a healthy 750 MHz on the core, just 10 MHz under Asus's top end version, although still an impressive 150 MHz over the stock speed. That's a 25% increase, not too shabby since it's basically free extra performance. The GDDR3 clocked up to 1062 MHz, right on par with most GDDR3 overclocks. In order to get the clock speeds of 750 MHz on the GPU core and 1062 MHz on the memory I used an application called RivaTuner, which lets you clock the card high enough not be software limited. As you can see on the GPU-Z screenshot, even at 75% fan speed the card ran quite warm at 81 Celcius, although it was a quieter than a stock cooler set at the same speed.

Although Foxconn provides the Aegis Panel overclocking utility the options with the utility are limited. For true overclocking you have to get down to the nitty gritty in the BIOS and make the changes you need. I have found in my trials when testing AMD hardware that you can either push the CPU speed or push the multiplier but when you push both you run into problems. For overclocking the Foxconn Destroyer I pushed the multiplier first in half increments until I became unstable. Then I backed off until I could boot and run with no problems. Next I pushed the CPU speed by one megahertz at a time until I hit a wall at 203MHz. This gave me a total speed of 3.250GHz (203x16) which is what the overclocking tests will be run at.
