Lenovo HTPC Multimedia Remote with Keyboard Review
Everything USB posted a review on Lenovo Multimedia Remote with Keyboard.
Finding the right Home Theater PC remote can be an exercise in frustration. For the last three years, I've been searching for the right combination of control, wireless range, battery life, backlighting, and price. Even as a reviewer, this is much harder than you'd think it'd be. Enter Lenovo with their second generation HTPC controller, the N5902 Multimedia Remote with Keyboard. There's a ton of improvements to be had over the older N5901 including backlighting, but how does it stack up overall? Click onward to our in-depth review to find out!Read more
Verdict:
Lenovo's second generation HTPC remote suffers greatly the optical trackpad's low resolution, but is mostly vindicated by the comfort, backlighting and wireless reliability.
Pros:
+ Pleasant ergonomic grip
+ Efficient keyboard
+ Comfortable scrolling
+ Dedicated media keys
+ Receiver stows in battery compartment
+ Arrow keys have raised nub
+ Decent wireless range
Cons:
- Optical trackpad is terribly slow
- Lacks "Green Button"
- Escape and Backspace keys hard to locate by touch
- No recharging solution
- Arrow keys are a stretch for lefties
- Backlighting is uneven
Antec Performance One P280 Midtower Case Review
Legit Reviews posted Antec Performance One P280 Midtower Case Review
Today we have Antec's newest addition to the Performance One series, the P280. Continuing the legacy of Performance One enclosures, the P280 integrates quiet technologies such as sound-dampening steel / polycarbonate side panels, a triple-layer front door and hard drive trays with preinstalled vibration-reducing silicone grommets. Antec says that with the P280 they have fixed some things that users didn't care for, so let's find out if they did!Read more
Antec set out to fix a couple of the main issues users had with their recent cases. I think they hit the mark. The Performance One P280 has all the looks that the Performance One series is known for and the new features are great....
Antec Performance One Series P280 Super Mid Tower Chassis Review
Tweaktown posted Antec Performance One Series P280 Super Mid Tower Chassis Review
As I sit here contemplating to start this based off of a revision of a previous design angle, or if I take the approach of allowing this chassis to stand on its own merits, I find that both angles are very applicable to what we are going to be having a look at. As the title mentions, essentially we are at what the evolution of what the P180 has become some years later. The external design has definitely been revisited in this new release, but there have been a multitude of changes made internally. Looking at cases that came later in the Performance One series from Antec, the P183 and P193 and their revisions, they were all based off a compartmentalized interior design. So while Antec tried to make it have aesthetic cues that hark back to the classic design that many of you reading this have used, there has been much thought and effort into maximizing what you can get into this chassis, making it easy to do, and deliver limited noise in operation.Read more

Mushkin Ventura Pro 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Review
OCC has published a review on the Mushkin Ventura Pro 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
In regular use, I find myself commonly transferring larger files, which is where this drive excels. My biggest personal annoyance was the cap and lanyard situation, though it should not be a deal breaker. The design, if nothing else, looks and feels good. On top of that, it provides shock resistance and perhaps even temperature dispersion. Ultimately, the Mushkin Ventura Pro proved to be a very well-rounded and high-performance 32 GB flash drive.Read more
Intel X79 Quad Channel and Z68 Dual Channel Memory Performance Analysis
TweakTown posted Intel X79 Quad Channel and Z68 Dual Channel Memory Performance Analysis
Memory performance on the new platform has been all over the place and I've personally been talking to both motherboard and RAM manufacturers to see what we can do about the performance. The big issue at the moment is under AIDA64 - an almost industry standard benchmark for us, we see that Quad Channel isn't painted in the best light.Read more
It's not our job to go out there and make sure the product is painted in the best light. It's not like Intel has turned around and said anything to us, though, it's just this personal issue I'm having at the moment with the numbers we're getting out of Quad Channel memory in our normal benchmarks. It doesn't make sense that from a bandwidth perspective it offers no more performance than Dual Channel, if not slightly less at times.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 Super Overclock Review
Hardware Canucks posted a review of the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 Super Overclock video card.
The GTX 570 may have been introduced over nearly a year ago (yes, it has been that long) but it is still one of the best graphics cards around when it comes to price / performance ratio. Gigabyte has taken it upon themselves to take this card to the next level by integrating it into their Super Overclock series. The resulting GTX 570 Super Overclock boasts high clock speeds and a $50 price premium over the reference version but its performance could go toe to toe against the GTX 580.Read more
Battlefield 3 Gaming and Performance Review on NVIDIA GTX 500 Series Video Cards
Hi Tech Legion posted Battlefield 3 Gaming and Performance Review on NVIDIA GTX 500 Series Video Cards
Battlefield 3 is the latest installment in the franchise, powered by a new Frostbite engine. Unlike other modern warfare shooters, Battlefield 3 boasts bone-crushing physics effects and an emphasis on team-work when it comes to multiplayer gaming. Much like its predecessors, Battlefield 3 gives players the opportunity to launch into the battlefield on foot, on a tank, on a jet, or any of the twenty other vehicles parked on the map. Paired with the latest in DirectX11 technology, players can enjoy highly detailed large-scale outdoor maps unlike anything ever seen in a video game. Battlefield 3 is the one of a kind gaming experience that PC gamers have been asking for and rightly deserve.Read more
Corsair H100 Liquid Cooling Review
R&B Mods posted a review on the Corsair H100 Liquid Cooling
Corsair recently released a new watercooler on the market that according to Corsair should outperform the Antec Kuhler 920. The Kuhler performed quite well in our tests so we have high hopes for this H100 liquid cooler. The Question is; how well will it perform and at what noise levels does it have? The Antec performed good at very low noise levels so lets get on with the review and see if the H100 can compete.Read more

ASUS TUF Sabertooth X79 review
The Guru of 3D posted ASUS TUF Sabertooth X79 review
ASUS initially had a mild success with the Sabertooth series, they carefully launched just in the USA as a tryout, yet once the concept picked up, they noticed demand worldwide. Head on over to the next page where we'll discuss the X79 chipset, the respective ASUS models. Then we'll throw a decent photo-shoot and a benchmark suite at the products and get an indication what performance is like with the Intel Core i7-3960X (Sandy Bridge-E) and X79 Platform.Read more
