Kingston HyperX Triple Channel DDR3 2000 Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the Kingston HyperX Triple Channel DDR3 2000

To that end, we got the first kit of Triple Channel DDR3 to achieve the 2000 MHz mark. Kingston technologies fielded the first kit of Triple Channel DDR3 capable of hitting 2000MHz within the allowed 1.65v RAM memory voltage limit on Core i7. Nay sayers said it couldn't be done. We're here to tell you it has been done. Kingston knocked one out of the park with their HyperX KHX16000D3K3/3GX 3GB kit capable of running 2000MHz with the rated timings of 9-9-9-27 at 1.65v.

Not only did they knock it out of the park, they're using a loaded bat. Intel has improved the XMP profile on the new X58 boards and what was previously a nightmare, running DDR3 High Speed, has now become a simple matter of enabling an XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) and rebooting. Yes, you read it right. Pop it in the slot, set the profile, reboot, and enjoy smoking fast speed!

HP 2133 Mini-Note PC Review
InsideHW.com has posted article about HP 2133 Mini-Note PC netbook

The appearance of first netbook by Asus, EEE PC, brought to polarization in public opinion. While supporters of netbook concept accentuated mobility and low price, opponents had some other arguments in their favor. First was the fact that work on such a small device is uncomfortable, and the second objection goes to its toyish looks that only goes hand in hand with young girls and boys. Time showed that new netbook models with 8.9-inch and 10-inch diagonals can offer to most users quite satisfactory work conditions and HP 2133 Mini-Note PC completely changed stereotypes when it comes its toyish looks.

ATI Catalyst 8.11 Analysis - XP & Vista
TweakTown posted an ATI Catalyst 8.11 Analysis

With the release of the new i7 platform from Intel I have to admit that the latest Catalyst release did sneak up on me. With the release of a new platform, though, I was intrigued to find out if ATI would offer anything on the performance front.

Looking through the release notes, ATI has made a promise for performance increases in Far Cry 2 with gains as high as 14% when in Crossfire, while S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is being promised gains of up to 30% when using CrossfireX. Fortunately, both games also offer performance increases for single card setups.

FSP Power Mod 700 Watt Power Supply Review
DreamWare Computers posted a review on the FSP Power Mod 700 Watt Power Supply

FSP Group is a new name on our review list but certainly not a new name in the computer hardware realm. Their self-branded product line may not be known to everyone but they have been OEMing for other manufacturers since 1993! This large presence in the OEM field has made them one of the top 6 power supply manufacturers in the world. Not only do they make computer power supplies but they also make notebook power bricks as well as many integrated power units made for components such as LCD televisions. Today we have the opportunity to review their new 700 watt Power Mod PC power supply, a competitively priced power supply that I'm hoping will make a great first impression here for this company!

Gelid Silent Spirit Heatpipe CPU Cooler Review
Tweaknews.net posted a review on the Gelid Silent Spirit Heatpipe CPU Cooler

Gelid has a very worthy product in the Silent Spirit, especially for the debut offering of a new company. The Silent Spirit easily bests the performance of the OEM cooler while being noticeably quieter, even at full speed.

Intel Core i7-965 Extreme Edition Processor Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the Intel Core i7-965 Extreme Edition Processor

Fear not my enthusiast brethren, in our second publication we will be covering all that you asked for and more as we review the Intel Core i7-965 Extreme Edition (XE). We have now had sufficient time to spend with Core i7 series and our knowledge base on these processors and their supporting components has grown exponentially. In our first article, Intel Core i7 CPU & DX58SO X58 Platform we covered most of the available information regarding both the Nehalem Technology and the architecture used with the Intel Core i7 Processor family. We will therefore not repeat that discussion, instead; our goal today is to spend most of our energy concentrating on those features and performance aspects of the Intel Core i7-965XE that have led it and its other i7 kin to be dubbed "The Fastest Processor on the Planet" by Intel.

ECS A790GXM-A Review
OCC has published a new review on the ECS A790GXM-A

Overclocking the ECS board is quite easy using the Motherboard Inteligent BIOS on the ECS A790GXM-A. All of the options you need to change are right there in front of you. The thing is that when overclocking this board you might have a problem with a processor that does not have an unlocked multiplier. No matter what I did and how much I pushed the boards voltages and tweaked the settings it would not boot and remain stable over 200MHz. Pushing the multiplier on the Phenom X4 9850 to 16x gave me a 700MHz overclock but that was it. I could not get anything else out of this one so that is where the overclocked tests will be run at 3.2GHz (200x16).

ECS GF9300T-A Review
OCC has published a new review on the ECS GF9300T-A

There are some mainstream motherboards on the market that overclock very well. The GF9300T-A is not one of them if you are using a 1333 FSB processor. With limited overclocking options in the BIOS, its very difficult to push your components higher than 1333 FSB. With that said, I gave it my best shot. The board did recognize the E8600 and set its speed correctly but the Mushkin memory was automatically set to 800MHz. There is no CPU voltage adjustment in the BIOS, so pushing the processor past stock speed did not provide stable results. Attempts to get the memory to its rated 1000MHz resulted in data corruption and led to an operating system reinstall. While I was eventually able to push the RAM to 900MHz, I would not recommend overclocking this board with its limited headroom and the lingering possibility of data loss.

Gigabyte GA-EX58 UD5P motherboard Review
The Guru of 3D posted a review on the Gigabyte GA-EX58 UD5P motherboard

For those of you who missed the little bomb that Intel dropped earlier on, X58 is the enthusiast high-end chipset for motherboards. Enthusiast also means expensive and I won't lie to you, it would make more sense to just sit it out and wait for cheaper chipset to arrive. But for those of you that can't wait .. well we certainly would like to show you your options, and this motherboard certainly has options.

This review will cover the GA-EX58-UD5P motherboard from the funky blue colored people at Gigabyte.
