Vizo Propeller Dual Fan Card System Cooler Review
Overclockers Online posted a review on the Vizo Propeller Dual Fan Card System Cooler

I was pleased with the performance of the Vizo Propeller. Extra cooling never hurts, especially when it is quiet. Although my video card's temperatures did not show any noticeable drop in temperature, the overall case temperature dropped significantly.

Iiyama ProLite E2208HDS - 22in Full HD LCD
bit-tech published a review of the Iiyama ProLite E2208HDS - 22in Full HD LCD

In terms of image enhancement features, Iiyama has seen fit to include both dynamic contrast and OptiColor digital colour circuitry. The former is probably a little better than most implementations, but it's still of marginal value, tending to crush detail in darker movie and gaming scenes. The latter, meanwhile, does little more than offer a menu of ostensibly enhanced preset contrast settings, none of them superior to the default setting.

All of which leaves us to conclude that Iiyama's new 1080p 22-incher is a thoroughly welcome addition to the 22-inch market. Yes, it comes with the usual image quality baggage that afflicts every TN panel. But 1,920 x 1,080 pixels is a lot for the money. It's also very, very nearly as good as Viewsonic's slightly more expensive 1080p 22-inch monitor, the VX2260WM, which we will be publishing our review on very soon.

The Viewsonic's black tones and dynamic contrast circuitry are probably better, but there is awfully little in it. Unless you need that HDMI port, therefore, you may feel little compunction to pay more. Certainly, anyone looking to bag a monitor below the £150 price point should put Iiyama's new HD panel right at the top of their list.

USB Volume Controller Review
DragonSteelMods.com posted a review on an USB Volume Controller

USBFever carries a great little product that's very useful for computers that don't have volume controls on their speakers. The USB Volume Control (very aptly named) is touch sensitive so all you do is slide your finger along the surface to raise or lower the volume and hold your finger on it it mute or un-mute you speakers. It seems to work very well, but as stated in the specs, it doesn't work for everything, overall though it's a useful little product that inexpensive as well.

Kingston 2GB HyperX PC3-16000 DDR3 Memory Review
Virtual-Hideout posted a review on the Kingston 2GB HyperX PC3-16000 DDR3 Memory

Kingston's new 2 GHz memory kit joins the ranks offering stability and dependability as we've all grown to expect. Kingston is already in a very select group of vendors to offer professional and enthusiast memory. Despite their market position, the HyperX PC3-16000 2GB Kit weighs in at a staggeringly low $125 price tag. If that's not low enough to entice you to upgrade from your older P4 or lack luster DDR2 based Core 2 Duo board, then I don't know what will. It's stable, it's affordable, it's Kingston, and it's time you stepped up.

Thermolab Baram CPU Cooler Review
OCC has published a new review of the Thermolab Baram CPU Cooler

The performance of the Thermolab Baram CPU Cooler was within 2 degrees Celsius of the vaunted TRUE when under load. When you add a second fan, however, you are going to see the exact same performance from the Baram as you do from the TRUE, pretty stout for any competitor considering the TRUE seems to be the standard all coolers are measured against. I really liked the overall layout of the Baram cooler, it uses the towering style of cooler that somewhat looks like the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, however uses copper heatpipes. Thermolab decided to throw 5 total heatpipes on this cooler, which go from the base of the cooler all the way through the large fin array in a way that they are not too close together, allowing for the heat to be evenly dissipated from them to the surrounding fins. The mounting hardware of the Thermolab Baram cooler is both a positive and a negative aspect to the cooler depending on your point of view; sure it is very sturdy and is not going to fail and fall off of your processor, however it does make it a pain in the butt to get on.

Verbatim Color LightScribe DVD+R Media Review
OCModShop posted a review on the Verbatim Color LightScribe DVD+R Media

Verbatim is at it again with a new line of recordable media. This time, we get a variety of colors in the form of the image-etching tool known as LightScribe. Originally they came only in the color "Gold". I guess it wouldn't be as flashy to call it "Vomit Yellow", and now they have one-upped themselves by bringing us four new brilliant colors to make our burned media look that much more vibrant. Now you can have any color of the rainbow you want, as long as you only want Green, Blue, Red, Orange, and Yellow. Here's some more info on it before I commence the burning.

G.SKILL FM-25S2S-64GB MLC SSD Drive Review
Overclockers Online posted G.SKILL FM-25S2S-64GB MLC SSD Drive Review

I've put the G.Skill 64GB MLC SSD through its paces and am pleased with its overall performance. It's absolutely quiet, it draws less power than your regular hard drive, my boot times have dropped by ridiculous amounts and overall performance keeps up with some of today's newest platter hard drives available. It's definitely not the fastest hard drive out there, but the future is definitely bright for G.Skill's SSD family.

ATi vs. nVIDIA: Video Transcoding
InsideHW.com has reviewed video converters: Badaboom and ATi Avivo

Encoding of video material is one of those tasks that demand a lot of processing power and till now we had to use, in most cases, CPU processing power. Since market of portable devices that can play video files (like smartphones and portable media players) is growing rapidly, necessity for conversion of video files to lower resolutions and bit rates is growing accordingly. Of course there are cases when we need to covert video file to higher resolution as in case of converting DVD to HD video format that is better suited for your new Full HD TV. Users are using Video Converters more and more every day and at the same time they are seeking for software solution that will do the job faster and with better results.

OCZ Technology SLI-Ready 2GB DDR3-2000 Memory Kit Review
Bigbruin.com has posted a review on the OCZ Technology SLI-Ready 2GB DDR3-2000 Memory Kit

The OCZ Technology SLI-Ready 2GB DDR3-2000 dual channel memory kit is almost ahead of its time. The eVGA 790i motherboard does support SLI-Ready memory up to 2000MHz, but it did have some trouble staying stable at that speed. Testing really didn't show much advantage over a 'slower' kit, and if you can run with tighter timings at lower speeds you may be better off.

CyberPower Gamer Xtreme XT Review
OCC has published a new review of the CyberPower Gamer Xtreme XT

Prebuilt computers have usually had two thing not going for them, Price and performance. Performance usually comes in the form of a price tag outside our reach or when in our price range the performance is not there. As enthusiasts we think we can always do a better job of building a superior rig at a better price than the companies that do it day in and day out. Most times I would say that is true. But with the CyberPower Gamer Xtreme Xt system I think the watermark has been set on both the price front as well as the performance front. For $1500 dollars you can have a system that will run today's games and applications much better than a similarly equipped system using not last years technology but technology that was released This year! If you wanted to build this system you would be hard pressed to find the identical components used in this system at a price even $600 higher than the $1500 dollar asking price. This system from CyberPower just crushed our poor testbed system that really is no slouch.
