OCZ Vertex 120GB SATA SSD OCZSSD2-1VTX120G Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the OCZ Vertex 120GB SATA SSD OCZSSD2-1VTX120G

Lower power consumption and heat output are the least impressive benefits of Solid State Drives. The real payoff is in the practically instant response time and high-performance throughput. Once SSDs could outperform their HDD counterpart, it was all about price and capacity. Adding up to 64MB of Elpida DRAM to the buffer has permanently solved stuttering problems, making raw performance the last bottleneck. An Indilinx 'Barefoot' internal controller commands the bank of Samsung K9HCG08U1M DRAM modules, allowing the OCZ Vertex Series SSD to offer an impressive capacity with unmatched performance. Benchmark Reviews tests the reaction time and bandwidth performance for the OCZSSD2-1VTX120G against over two dozen other products in this article.

ASUS Travelite HS-1000W Wireless Headset Review
TweakTown posted a review on the ASUS Travelite HS-1000W Wireless Headset

Hot on the trail of their very impressive new Xonar sound cards, ASUS have just sent me some wireless headphones. Up until this point I was not aware that ASUS were in the headphone business, but with so many users, particularly gamers, needing a personal audio solution and also taking into account the trend towards wireless devices, it makes sense to see an offering in this category by arguably one of the largest manufacturers in the game.

Offering an easily accessible retail price and a simple software-free installation, it will be interesting to see what ASUS have come up with in what will be my first ever headphones review for TweakTown.

Zalman CNPS 9900 LED Review
The Guru of 3D posted a review on the Zalman CNPS 9900 LED fan

Recently Zalman introduced the CNPS 9900 LED fan. An all new heatpipe based cooler with not one, but two heatsinks. The fun part is, it just looks really extraordinary as in-between the two heatsinks, an actual LED lit 120mm ventilator is located. Yes The cooler has been split down the middle, moved away from each other to make room for that fan integrated into the center of the heatsink.

At 75,- USD you should expect a lot from a CPU cooler though, it's the CNPS 9900 LED living up to majestic Zalman reputation ?

Palit GTX 260 Sonic Review
OCC has published a new review on the Palit GTX 260 Sonic

The Palit GTX 260 Sonic did not disappoint. The expectations I had based on my experience with the HD 4850 Sonic was that the Sonic edition cards were very overclockable and delivered exceptional performance. That this card did. At times it fell behind but the majority of tests showed it to be a worthy competitor to the Sapphire HD 4870 1GB Toxic edition card used in the performance comparison. The cooling solution is a custom designed piece that works quite well. The maximum temperatures I saw in my testing under a heavy GPU load was 66 degrees Celsius with the fan speed controller by the driver. When the fan speed was moved to 100% the maximum recorded temperature dropped to 58 degrees. This cooling solution works and works well.

HIS HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo 1GB Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the HIS HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo 1GB

Do I need 1 GB on my video card?' I don’t know how many times I’ve been asked that question the last year or so. Up until pretty recently, my answer has always been “No, you don’t need it.' The reason for this has been the fact that most games have simply not needed a frame buffer more than 512 MB. With the release of DirectX10, faster video cards, games that use higher resolution textures as well as monitors with higher resolutions coming down in price, things have changed.

Late in 2008, AMD released an updated version of the HD4870, with 1 GB instead of 512 MB. Today, we are testing the HIS HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo 1GB to see what benefits we get from the increased memory size. Is it worth the extra dollars or will a 512 MB card still be enough?

OCZ Vertex Solid State Drive Review
ITreviewed posted a review on the OCZ Vertex Solid State Drive

Like its predecessors, the Core and Solid series, OCZ continues to make SSDs as an alternative to traditional hard drives in consumer-targeted mobile applications. The Vertex series will not replace any of the company's existing series of SSD's but will complement them at the higher end of the performance spectrum. Ideal for laptops and desktops alike, the Vertex is a premium choice for energy-efficient mobile computing to extend battery life, increase access time, and provide a durable alternative to conventional hard disc drives with shock resistance. The downside is still cost versus capacity: the range starts at just 30GB (399) and maxes out at 250GB (599). Compared to a regular hard disk drive - which can be purchased for under 100 with a capacity of at least 1TB - you'll have to think long and hard about justifying the outlandish expense. If you're building a cutting-edge super computer or are just a performance junkie wanting unmatched response and speed, get your credit card ready.

Kingston 4GB DataTraveler Micro Reader Review
Futurelooks checks out an interesting USB flash/reader product

As we continue down this path toward ultimate geekdom, we will get buried deeper and deeper in our gadgetry. It seems that every portable device that I have needs a different charger and a different memory card, so it helps when someone comes up with something a little more convenient. Marrying the functionality of a USB flash drive with a memory card reader is the DataTraveler Micro Reader from Kingston Technology. Convenience is great, but are you sacrificing something as a result? This review aims to answer this oh-so-pressing question.

OCZ HydroFlow Waterblock Review
Virtual-Hideout posted a review on the OCZ HydroFlow Waterblock

For better or for worse, OCZ has always been one of the more adventurous companies to service the needs of the enthusiast. While other companies focused solely on producing memory, OCZ had already begun their simple forays into cooling, and power supplies. Today, their lines extend out to a few, slightly more exotic locations, namely pre-built phase change cooling, and even a neural interfacing device. Yet, as with any company that does not specialize in these exploratory fields, OCZ's alternate products remain a niche interest. In this spirit, we're looking at their HydroFlow waterblock - the company's first step towards a performance liquid cooling solution. If OCZ's reputation as a memory manufacturer has anything to do with this little waterblock, then there's plenty in store for us. Let's get wet, intrepid readers.

Thermaltake BigTyp 14Pro CPU Cooler Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the Thermaltake BigTyp 14Pro CPU Cooler

Today, we're going to have a look at Thermaltake's latest air cooler, the BigTyp 14Pro. The BigTyp 14Pro is the newest generation of Thermaltake's legendary Big Typhoon air cooler, which was met with great reactions back in its day. The Big Typhoon's large footprint and excessive heat-pipes worked as a brute force solution to the problem of a hot processor, and did a great job of it. The BigTyp 14Pro hopes to do the same.

Sapphire Radeon HD 4830 512MB Review
TheTechLounge posted a review on the Sapphire Radeon HD 4830 512MB video card

I don't think there's a stock= 4830. Sapphire usually runs that route with the non-Toxic or their other variants, but I'm pretty sure that it's up to the board partner to build a better 4830; they're all different. Each has its own heatsink and board layout. Sapphire's is, at least, true to the namesake, and mega-blue.

Xigmatek Dark Knight S1283 H.D.T. CPU Cooler Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Xigmatek Dark Knight S1283 H.D.T. CPU Cooler

Given they’re a relatively fresh company to the scene, Xigmatek has taken the overclocking community by storm with their H.D.T technology coolers. It seems every time I see a question on a forum about "best bang for the buck coolers", Xigmatek’s name is soon to make the list. They have done really well for themselves and have kept introducing more products to the market as they go. Xigmatek is keeping me busy and sends over another addition to our lab for testing.

This time we are taking a look at the Xigmatek Dark Knight S1283, a variation on an already good cooling solution that is based on the S1283 series coolers. The Dark Knight stands the same as the other S1283’s, but this time it is dressed in all black. Xigmatek has plated the entire cooler in a black nickel coating. And I mean everything, except for the fan of course. Speaking of the fan, with the Dark Knight Xigmatek ships the highest CFM fan on their coolers to date.
