AOC Q2778VQE Review

The Q2778VQE is a 27-inch 16:9 monitor with a WQHD (2,560 x 1,440) TN (twisted nematic) display and a refresh time of just 1ms, making it a good choice for gamers. It retails for a reasonable £285, but can be found for slightly less at many online vendors. Although there’s plenty of competition at this mid-range price point, with ultra-wide 21:9 screens, IPS panels and so on, there are fewer low-latency 27-inch displays – making the Q2778VQE a relatively unique prospect for gamers.

Asus GTX980 20th Anniversary Gold Edition Gallery

If you blinked you may have missed it – but Asus recently released a one of a kind, strictly limited edition GTX980. Earlier this week ASUS launched the Zenfone 2 and we were able to get our hands on this brand new smartphone that costs less than $300 outright. Buffalo MiniStation Extreme NFC Portable Hard Drive Review

Corsair CS850M PSU Review

We review the Corsair CS850M 850 Watt 80-plus GOLD certified power supply. This is a silent and more affordable mainstream 850 Watt power supply that is 80-plus certified, that means it's 90% efficient at 50% load. Efficiency matters. The PSU itself is partly modular, for most of you with a side panel window in their chassis a must really as you'll want modular cables. The new PSU also improved on the silence factor. Have a peek at the article.

The CS850M series is a modest and silent model series, all about being efficient for a reasonable price. As such you'll notice that the PSU as tested today carries a Gold certification. Bronze, Silver but really Gold or Platinum is what you want, the upper stack in hardware is expensive though. Gold certified, that means it's 90% efficient at 50% load. Efficiency matters; years ago PSUs were as low as 70% efficient, meaning that 30% of the used power simply vanishes, whilst you are paying for it on that electricity bill. If your components eat away 500W then with that 70% efficient product you'd actually use 650W. The PSU itself is let's say 90% modular with cabling as well, for most of you with a side panel window in their chassis a must really as you'll want modular cables.

All in all we have plenty to show you and test. Mind you that being the mainstream range you'll get an added benefit as well, Corsair Professional Series PSUs are backed by an excellent 3-year warranty. Thus PSU is ideal for basic desktop systems where low energy use, low noise, and simple installation are important. Hey, that's gold all by itself, but have a quick peek and then let's head on-wards into the review.

CRYORIG H7 CPU Cooler Review

Today I be will reviewing the H7 CPU Cooler brought to us by Cryorig. The CRYORIG H7 has compact compatibility written in it’s design. Only 145mm in height the H7 is one of the smallest 120mm fan class tower heatsinks on the market. The H7 will fit in almost all mid-tower PC chassis. The H7 can deliver much needed tower grade cooling performance in tight spaces. When I received the H7 from Cryorig I had to do a little research because I had not heard much about the company. Cryorig is fairly new to the masses launching the Cryorig brand in 2013. I started to gain excitement after reading a couple of reviews of some of their other products. I kept reading how fantastic the CPU cooling products performed. If you are new or old to DIY computer world I encourage you to look into Cryorig. I can not wait any longer to see the results of the Cryorig H7 so lets began this review already!

The CRYORIG H Series coolers feature our proprietary Hive Fin structure. This design allows for a combination of Jet Fin Acceleration and Turbulence Reduction, as well as strengthening structural strength of the fin stacks. Combined together, the Hive Fin design brings cool innovation. I find the Hive Fin design intriguing. When you delve deeper into the theory behind the physics and jet fin acceleration technology, you ask yourself does this stuff really play that big of a role in keeping my CPU cool? Well those questions are answered later in this review.

ECS Z97I-Drone LEET Gaming (LGA 1150) Motherboard Review

Intel’s Z97 platform has been around with us for almost a year now, so the marketplace is slightly saturated with motherboards from a huge array of manufacturers. Offering full support for the Haswell Refresh CPU’s, it has really brought new performance levels to the consumer market. While still producing the Z97 platform, Intel are soon to release the newest CPU lineup, named Skylake; with that introducing the new LGA 1151 socket motherboards. Focus has moved from the typical motherboard form factor, ATX and microATX to the ITX size. Tthis motherboard crams in most of the features of it’s bigger brothers, while being a tiny 17cm x 17cm size.

Today we have the Elitegroup (ECS) Z97I-Drone (GANK), under the LEET Gaming sub-division. That’s a bit of a mouthful, so let me explain with a picture.

EVGA GTX 980 HYBRID Review

As NVIDIA’s GTX 980 gradually matures, their board partners are starting to take a few more chances with their custom designs. While cards like the Matrix and Classified series have pushed air cooled options to their max, water cooling has remained persona non grata for the most part. EVGA’s GTX 980 Hybrid is meant to bridge the gap between classically cooled options and those which require a pre-existing water cooling loop for optimal performance.

In the grand scheme of things, the Hybrid isn’t really unique since ASUS’ Poseidon series and EVGA’s own HydroCopper attempt to harness the inherent efficiency of water cooling but they require quite a bit of plumbing to get working. EVGA’s Hybrid on the other hand takes a page from AMD’s R9 295X2 by combining a closed loop 120mm water cooler with a secondary air cooling setup so it boasts a simple, drop-in installation in most cases. While setting up a whole custom water cooling loop may be a bit daunting for some, EVGA’s design should allow for the best of both worlds.

Nvidia Titan X

Sometimes you can’t explain it but you need the biggest and best. When it comes to video cards from Nvidia the GTX 980 is a beast, hell I have GTX 980’s in both my main PC and my LAN rig, but with 4 giga of ram I don’t think you can really consider it to be the end all be all video card. This is where Nvidia comes in with their Titan cards. In the past they have had the original Titan as well as the Titan Z with its dual GPUs and the Titan Black. Well the latest Titan is the Titan X. Nvidia launched it this past March and we were a little slow to get one in but today I finally have one to run through our benchmark suite. Let’s find out if it really is godlike like the name implies.

Tesoro Lobera Spectrum-RGB Mechanical Keyboard Review

Welcome back everyone and to myself as this took a bit of time to get off the ground. It turns out working and studying are not quite as easy as I might have thought, but now that I am finished with my semester I get to come back and play around with my favorite toys. So my last review was the Tesoro Tizona mechanical keyboard which I quite enjoyed as I love keyboards with a bit of weight and noise to them.  I don't know it just kind of adds to the authenticity of typing when you get audio feedback. This time, however, we will be looking at one of the newest releases from Tesoro that is not only mechanical but also has...wait for it...........LIGHTS!

The Witcher 3 Graphics Performance Review

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt concludes the story of the witcher Geralt of Rivia, the series' protagonist, whose story to date has been covered in the previous versions. Continuing from The Witcher 2, the ones who sought to use Geralt are now gone. Geralt seeks to embark on a new and personal mission, whilst the world order itself is coming to a change. Geralt's new mission comes in dark times as the mysterious and otherworldly army known as the Wild Hunt invades the Northern Kingdoms, leaving only blood soaked earth and fiery ruin in its wake; and it seems the Witcher is the key to stopping their cataclysmic rampage.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Polish: Wiedźmin 3: Dziki Gon) is an action role-playing video game set in an open world environment, developed by Polish video game developer CD Projekt RED. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 19 May 2015.The game is the third in the series, preceded by The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, which are based on the series of fantasy novels of the same title by the Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, but all take place after them.

CD Projekt RED has said that it is not necessary to have played the previous games to fully enjoy Wild Hunt. While similar to the previousWitcher games, Wild Hunt has improved on several aspects from past games. Combat revolves around an action role-playing game system combined with the use of magic. The fighting system has been completely revamped. Wild Hunt introduces some new mechanics, such as witcher-sense, combat on horseback, and at sea, swimming underwater, and using a crossbow. Additionally, Geralt can now jump, climb, and vault over smaller obstacles. The climbing mechanics have been described as "not exactly" like Assassin's Creed, but more "similar to what we have in Uncharted". Item creation and potion brewing still remain as in previous games, but have been modified from The Witcher 2. There are 10 witcher signs, 5 original ones, each having 1 alternative form.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Benchmarked, Performance Review

After much anticipation and a few delays, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has launched this week to critical acclaim. However, it seems CD Projekt Red downgraded some of the visuals that were previously expected to be in the PC build due to the use of Nvidia's proprietary, and very demanding Hairworks technology. We tested nineteen DirectX 11 graphics cards to find out how the game performs in both AMD and Nvidia hardware.

Zalman ZM-GM4 Knossos Gaming Mouse Review

Zalman made their reputation with high-end aluminum cases– who could forget the marvelously insane $1,000+ TNN-500? – and CPU air coolers like their “flower”-designed CNPS7000 series. They don’t make insanely expensive cases any more, and air coolers are arguably irrelevant in the enthusiast market these days, but Zalman’s been branching out into gaming peripherals, and today Benchmark Reviews has their top-end Knossos ZM-GM4 Professional Laser Gaming Mouse to review.
