PC DVD burners are getting cheaper and cheaper. Trouble is, there are now four kinds of 4.7-billion-byte-per-side DVD writer, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

I've checked out AOpen's RW5120A DVD+RW drive, which uses the most recent of the do-it-yourself DVD formats. The AOpen drive's fast, and not too expensive, and yes, you _can_ copy DVDs with it. That's not really its strong point, though.
