VIA Hardware has posted an ECS Desknote review.
The above clearly shows the void in pricing that ECS is trying to fill. Throw in the features and mobility of the A900 and you can see why ECS thinks they may have a market. The Dell desktop is a great deal at only $599, one basically gets themselves into computing for this price. That system would outperform the A900 and is cheaper, but is countered with the fact that the A900 is mobile and has an LCD screen which results in a much smaller footprint. The Dell 2600 is more comparable to the ECS A900 because of the mobility feature. The 2600 again would outperform the A900 because of the much faster processor and double the memory. Also the fact that the Dell 2600 is truly mobile because of the battery, which the A900 lacks. So the almost $250 price difference between the A900 and the 2600 is where ECS will be slugging it out.Read more
