The EPoX 8KHA+ and ABIT KR7A both has very impressive performance. The real worldresults were excellent. My feel is that EPoX could do better if it can further tweak the BIOS to it utmost potential. As the system was tested based on a beta bios (20/Nov/2001), I think the official bios would have implemented all the necessary changes to reflect the new settings for better performance with newer peripherals like GF3 Ti200.
Features wise, this board does not have a RAID port nor support of ATA-133 interface. This is somewhat a disappointment but could be available in future releases with integrated support of the VIA South bridge 8233A.
In our testing, we did encounter some minor issues which are basically Software and BIOS related. We were able to resolve that with the latest BIOS and reinstallation of the AGP drivers. We also did not face any boot problems as discussed in some forums.
I find the documentation documenting the DEBUG codes especially useful. It is from there I discovered what is error 01 (debug led) and was able to get EPoX to help us resolve it.
