Cougar Puri TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

Many of the potential customers to keyboards want a few things up front. Mechanical seems to be the trend, as we see much fewer membrane switch keyboards as of late, but along with that, many want LED backlighting, and on top of it all, affordability is key. Not everyone out there needs RGB LEDs, they do not always need software if the keyboard is appropriately designed in the first place, and in the instance of the product we are testing today, and many do not need the number pad either. Sometimes the KISS process of designing a product is vital, and does in many instances, leave us with products that rise to the top in a sea of everyday choices.

With now ten keyboards in their current lineup, many involving all the bells and whistles we previous mentioned, Cougar has had a change of heart. There must be something to what we were saying, that many just do not need or want the bloat. In this specific instance, Cougar has made this new keyboard in two versions. There is the standard 104-key offering, but along with it comes the TKL variant, because unless you are left handed, the number pad is just wasted space on the gamers desktop. Of course, Cougar does not merely introduce an ordinary keyboard in the new series, there are still a few tricks up their sleeves with this design, and all are to the advantage of the user.

Creative Halo Portable Bluetooth Speaker Review

We have tried the Halo while connected to our Android smartphone, the iPad Air 2 tablet but also on PC via stereo cable; the sound quality is great in terms of highs and mids and we were quite surprised how loud this speaker can get without distortions. Creative has build this product with two separate full-range drivers and advertises “big bass” output; this is quite not the case when compared with Roar units which feature a dedicated subwoofer and also the stereo separation is a bit difficult to distinguish because the two mentioned drivers are quite close together.

Fallout 4 VR Review

So it's time for Bethesda Game Studios' final major virtual reality (VR) release of 2017, and it's a big one: Fallout 4 VR. Previously the developer has released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR and DOOM VFR, both of which have seen near universal acclaim, showcasing that a standard videogame port to VR can work, and work well, when given the attention it deserves. VR gamers have desperately wanted a deep and engrossing adventure that perfectly symbolises what the technology is all about. Somewhere in which they have the opportunity to delve into a virtual world, feel keenly connected to it, and that the actions they take have consequences; whether good or bad. The past has seen this slowly take shape with role-playing games (RPGs) like The Mages Tale, but just like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR before it, Fallout 4 VR aims to take fantasy immersion to another level.

Top 3 Cases of 2017

Coming in at number one is a real thumper. German engineering and ingenuity are hard at work again with another case from be quiet!, and this one is the King of the Hill. Given my experience with be quiet! products, my expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. The Dark Base Pro 900 is not only one of the larger and more expensive cases I have reviewed, it also has one of the most impressive feature sets that I have seen.
