TechSpot has posted a review on FIC's brand new VC19 Advanced motherboard, a powerful Pentium 4 solution based on the Intel 845e chipset.
With this particular board, I did notice a few things that I really liked. The first thing is the CMOS battery holder. I have never seen one like this, and now that I have, I want them all to be similar. Changing the CMOS battery on this board is the easiest I’ve ever seen. As you can see from the picture, the chip sits vertically, and is removed by simply pushing back the retaining clip. Nice stuff. Something else I noticed was the AGP locking mechanism. It slides freely and feels very slick, and is real easy to use. These may be little things, but to me these show that the manufacturer is going for the extra mile in order to make a good product even better.Read more
