17 PCI-Express SSDs round-up: the fastest SSDs
There is a lot of renewal and progress in the area of fast storage. Time to cover all the recent developments, including a test of 17 PCI-Express SSDs. This way you have an overview of the state of affairs in this market.Read full article @ Hardware.Info
The last time we created an overview of the market for PCI-Express SSDs was early 2016. Right now, the situation is a lot different in comparison. This is not shocking, considering the pace at which developments are implemented in this segment. This pace will probably stay the same or even increase, as more and more manufacturers succeed in introducing competitive PCI-Express SSDs.
At the time of writing there is a slight shortage in the SSD market, caused by the lack of NAND flash memory. The prices of SATA600 SSDs have gone up because of it and a lot of PCI-Express SSDs are moderately available. It is unclear how long this situation will persist, but keep this in mind when you look at the prices in this article that we included from our Price Comparison.
21 GeForce GTX 1050's and GTX 1050 Ti's tested: gaming with little ones
PC gaming does not have to be an expensive hobby at all, especially if you play at Full HD. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti prove this. In this round-up we're comparing no less than 21 of them from 8 manufacturers. These graphics cards allow you to game just fine at Full HD, despite the fact that the cheapest models cost about 90 to 140 pounds.Read full article @ Hardware.Info
The GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti are based on Nvidia's GP107 GPU, which is at the time of writing the smallest chip from the Pascal generation. This means that they are the baby brothers of cards such as the GeForce GTX 1080, both in terms of size and performance. Performance-wise, the cards compete with the Radeon RX 460 and RX 570 from AMD. The GP107 consists of 3.3 billion transistors and contrary to the other Pascal chips they are produced on the 14 nm process of Samsung, rather than by TSMC.
Dell Latitude 12 Updated: Rugged Tablet Gets Faster CPU, FHD LCD, Lower Weight, USB-C

Dell launched its original Latitude 12 model 7202 rugged extreme tablet back in 2015. The unit was based on Intel’s Core M (Broadwell-Y) SoC and a set of mobile PC components capable of working in extreme conditions, but its main features were reinforced chassis, security technologies, vast communication capabilities as well as compatibility with various strengthened peripherals and special-purpose equipment. The new Latitude 12 model 7212 inherits virtually everything from the predecessor, but swaps internal hardware, changes the display and adds a couple of other things.
First Intel Core i7-8700K benchmarks leaked
We gathered few leaks regarding the upcoming 6-core Intel i7-8700K CPU, which have appeared over the past few days. Intel Core i7-8700K Cinbench scores leaked Let's start with the most interesting leak coming from Karl Morin, Canadian tech journalist who stumbled upon an HP Omen desktop PC with 8700K CPU. The only issue was lack of display connected to the PC, so Karl quickly 'borrowed' a monitor and ran few benchmarks. I found this quite funny, especially when HP representative was standing right next to him.Read full article @ VideoCardz.com

In his fascinating book The Millionaire Next Door, Thomas J. Stanley discusses the propensity of millionaires to buy their cars used rather than new. The reasoning is as obvious as it is practical: You get nearly all the benefits from buying used at a fraction of the cost, and the money saved can be invested with compound interest, which ultimately adds up to tens of thousands of dollars over an adult lifetime. We could apply a similar philosophy toward smartphones, especially in light of products like the Huawei Mate 9 we'll be showing you here...
