XYZ Computing takes a look at SynapseLife
Where companies like Google and Zoho are trying to help you be productive through office applications, other services are aimed at personal organization. The internet power user has a number of tools which can easily be transferred from the desktop to the "webtop" if they are willing to take a chance with a new service. In addition to RSS feeds and bookmarks there are many personal organization duties that have successfully made the transition to the web. The trouble for most people has become finding a site that is able to code these in a manner that has the features you need, a high degree of accessibility, and is easy to use.First Look: SynapseLife
What we will be looking at in this article is SynapseLife.com, the highly awaited offering from Synapse Corporate Solutions (which explains the confusing name). This company knows a lot about corporate organization, so their jump into the world of Web 2.0 AJAX sites is not surprising. The question with sites like this is rarely if the company can do what it proposes, but rather how well it can do these things and how interested consumers are in the services offered. While what SynapseLife is offering looks tempting, but I keep asking myself, is it going to be any better or any different that what is currently available?
