FrostyTech has posted a GeForce 4 cooling guide
So what we have done so far with the GF4TEC prototype is take an old Alpha heatsink, chop it down to size, splice in a huge 38mm thick 7000RPM Delta fan, and add a Swiftech TEC and copper base plate. The mounting holes to attach it to the Guinea Pig MSI GF4Ti4600 haven't yet been added because its been hard to track down screws small enough to fit through the four 2mm diameter holes which surround the nVidia GPU.... Running off of a regular 400W power supply the hacked up Alpha heatsink gets nice and warm, while the uninsulated copper base plate gets frosted in about 2 minutes, and reaches about -7 degrees Celsius. With a neoprene gasket we should hopefully see the temps drop even further - but I really doubt we'll see sub-zero temps when this little baby is actually mounted to a MSI GF4Ti4600.Read more
