One of the things that had been bugging me recently is the way I've been transferring files from one computer to another when they're in different locations. For large files the choice is easy, a CDR or CDRW with the data burned onto it. The problem with that solution is that I usually don't have access to a burner when I get to my destination - so I can only transfer files one way. With smaller files I transport them the same way I have been for the last 15 years... via floppy disk. The problem with that is associated with the physical disk itself. I've a tendency to get careless with them and carry them around in my back pocket - where they are promptly bent beyond usability or broken entirely. As I contemplated my latest data loss due to gluteal interference I decided that there had to be a better way.
