This certainly seems to be a logical progression for the SPMark series, seeing as Java has become something of a de facto standard among most new high-end devices of this ilk.

The tests within SPMarkJava06 examine 2D and 3D gaming, image processing, video playback and battery life - In other words, anything that may concern you when it comes to buying and using an advanced mobile phone. A full run of tests will generate a final SPMark score, with the benchmark also offering the ability to run and obtain results from only selected tests as the user requires.
