BitFenix FLO Headset Review

Today we test and review the BitFenix FLO headset. A regular version is put to the test in an extensive review here at Guru3D. The stereo headset comes with nice 40mm NeoDymium drivers. Available at a fairly cheap price and four colors this set might be just what the doctor ordered, as they are sounding really nice and offer comfortable wear as well. The BitFenix FLO headset is a somewhat regular stereo headset, but has been optimized in many ways to give it that BitFenix niche, and granted that works out pretty well.

Cooler Master Elite 130

The Mini-ITX market has been growing both in popularity and in options. That means where we used to have one or two motherboard options, nearly every manufacture has multiple options now. Along with that, we now have Mini-ITX focused heatsinks and video cards. Cooler Master is no different with them expanding out their Mini-ITX case lineup beyond the Elite 120 that we reviewed a while back. Today I have the chance to take a look at one of their other options, the Elite 130. It is very similar to the Elite 120, but with a little different styling. Let’s see if the Elite line can still hold its own against the growing competition.

Have you just built a mining rig featuring four high end graphics cards or are you currently configuring a system incorporating dual AMD R9 295X2 graphics cards? If you are building a similar system, then a 1,500 Watt power supply would be a wise investment.

GeForce GTX 780 Ti vs. Radeon R9 280X CrossFire

Comparisons of two mid-range (roughly) graphics cards with one high-end VGA are almost always good for some really interesting results. Today we're having a look at what two AMD Radeon R9 280X graphics cards can do against one NVIDIA GTX 780 Ti. Happy Hour Timepieces The Ish Watch Review

Today I have something a bit different for review, it’s a watch, but not just any watch as it’s from a company called Happy Hour Timepieces. The name of the watch is The Ish and the idea behind this companies watches is happy hour or 5pm when the work day ends and you finally get chance to relax and enjoy happy hour as it were. The Ish watch is very unique in two ways specifically, the first is that the dial is actually hazy or foggy except for the magical number 5 which is all that counts right?! The second thing that makes The Ish unique is that it has a built-in bottle opener, the clasp is actually heavy duty and it’s designed to open a bottle with just a twist of your wrist. Those are just two things, but overall the The Ish is very nice, it’s well made and it looks great. Read on to learn more..

Microlab SOLO9C Review

Microlab are hitting the UK market hard of late, updating the renowned SOLO7C stereo speaker system with various improvements upon the original and coming out with the successor, the SOLO9C. Offering a vastly expanded input/output over the 7C which has just 2x RCA input sources, the 9C also offers optical Toslink, co-axial and a HDMI input/output for lossless audio from your Blu-ray player. This will have media centre/ home cinema enthusiasts drooling with delight at the possibilities. The specification of the 9C is comparable to the 7C with various tweaks to the signal to noise ratio (SNR) and channel separation. The most obvious changes that will be of consequence to the end user other than the expanded I/O will be the slightly larger 1.5" tweeters, the extra 17mm height and the extra 15W RMS output per speaker that give a total of 140W RMS, which is nothing to sniff at.

MSI GS60 2PC Ghost Review

Quad-core Intel Haswell and GeForce GTX 860M in a thin 15.6in laptop. Manufacturers in this industry tend to have a good idea of which products will be hot sellers in the months to come. Right now, MSI is hedging its bets with the GS60 2PC Ghost, proclaiming that it will be "without a doubt our best selling notebook in 2014."

Those are lofty expectations for any new system, yet MSI has repeatedly shown a knack for producing gaming laptops that are well received by the target audience, and a quick glance at the GS60's credentials suggest that this could well be another crowd pleaser.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN

With their GTX TITAN, NVIDIA have a graphics card in their portfolio that ships with a rather decend reference cooler. Nevertheless we want to find out what difference a full-cover water block can make when you put it on a mighty GTX TITAN. Sentey Phoenix Gaming Keyboard Review

Last week I took a close look at the Sentey Aphelion gaming mouse which proved to be a very well-made peripheral with less-than-optimal software. The California-based company was kind enough to send us its entry level gaming keyboard, the Sentey Phoenix. We are looking at a full backlit unit featuring silica-gel based switches and seven dedicated macro keys. The Phoenix also comes with a substantial accessories package, a high quality braided cable, and a nice soft touch coating on the faceplate.

Sentey is positioning the Phoenix in the $59.99 USD range and a quick look online shows that the product is available through some major channels such as eBay and Amazon. Being a relatively new player in the peripheral market segment, Sentey is catering to gamers that want an extra advantage while keeping the budget under control. The Phoenix is equipped with 128KB on-board memory allowing you to save up to five distinct profiles which are customizable through the included software. The keyboard itself comes in a fairly compact and light form factor.

Will the Sentey Phoenix rise and soar above the competition or will it remain in the ashes? We intend to find out in our review.

Sony KDL-55W955 Review

After blowing our socks off with its 2014 TV debut, the 50W829, I'm salivating at the prospect of wrapping my eyeballs around Sony's flagship 55-inch HD TV for 2014, the KDL-55W955. The 55W955's appearance does little to dampen my ardour. While there are elements of its design that could potentially divide opinion, for the most part it's a seriously stylish hunk of telly.Introducing the wedgeThe thing that most sets it apart is its wedge shape. Look at it from the side and you'll see that it gets wider the further down from top to bottom it goes, with the bottom edge ending up quite chunky by today's super-slim standards. What's more, Sony has boldly emphasised this chunkiness by fitting the TV's sides with a glinting metallic finish.Sony hasn't shunned the modern obsession with size zero TVs merely in a bid to look different, though. The wedge also delivers two significant practical benefits. The first of these is stability. As in, loading the bottom half of the TV with width and weight makes it stand more robustly than your typical flat TVThe other, more important, benefit of the wedge is that the wider base gives Sony's audio people more room to work with. This enables them to build a more powerful version of the long duct down-firing speaker system introduced on some of Sony's 2013 models. The 55W955 can be mounted low on either a pair of spindly legs (which can sit either right at the TV's outer edges, or tucked nearer the TV's centre if your table can't support a full-width attachment).

Trying Out The Jetson TK1, NVIDIAs High-End Tegra K1 Board

While it looks like most NVIDIA Jetson TK1 shipments were delayed (I've heard in Europe that they're not coming out as well until mid-May, matching what NewEgg and Micro-Center are now advertising), to much excitement I found out last night my Jetson TK1 ARM board shipped out and it's already arrived this morning. Here's my unboxing and first look at this new high-end ARM board featuring the Tegra K1 SoC that sports Kepler graphics.

NVIDIA announced the Jetson TK1 just over one month ago as one of the first widely available products (albeit, developer focused) shipping their newest Tegra K1 SoC. This first-generation Jetson TK1 features the Tegra K1 configured with four 32-bit Cortex-A15 CPU cores plus NVIDIA's fifth low-power companion core. Complementing the powerful quad-core-plus-one Cortex-A15 is a Kepler-based graphics processor with 192 CUDA cores -- NVIDIA's most powerful GPU now in the ARM space. The Kepler GPU will support OpenGL ES 3.0, CUDA 6, OpenCL 1.2, and OpenGL 4.4. NVIDIA has said the Tegra K1 is about fifty times faster than the former Tegra 2.
