This board is for the LGA775 Intel platform is comes ready for Core 2 Duo and supports Core 2 Quad with a BIOS flash. If you are all about performance, tweaking and overclocking and really want to push your CPU and memory to the limit - this Board's for you. The only downside is the price, and if you are a hardcore overclocker, Gigabyte is betting that you'll pay a little extra for some 12 Phase Power.
