The motherboard itself was jammed with stuff, it seems that the 875/865 chipsets just slam the PCB with an endless list of supported modes of communication. There were networking modules, IDE modules, SATA modules, RAID modules, USB modules, modules up the wazoo and they were all over. But what mattered, the IDE, SATA and power jumpers were all nestled in easy to access areas (if you are using a standard sized ATX case). The memory DIMMS gave ample room for slot removal (the AGP port was a good distance, and there was nothing surrounding the release brackets). They were crisp, but not too hard to jam in there. The socket was sturdy, and the AGP slot was a bit of an oddity. Rather than having a retaining clip like many modern boards the 8PENXP has AGP PRO support for professional class video cards…and as such has an extended area with a blocker blocking access to the usually unused gold teeth...Read more
