Hardware-One has posted a review on the Gigabyte GA-7DX AMD 760 DDR mainboard.
Gigabyte´s design for the 7DX rev 3.0, was to pair up the AMD 761 system controller (Northbridge) with VIA´s 686B Southbridge controller, instead of the AMD 766 peripheral controller. This gives the GA-7DX additional functionalities like support for AC´97 audio, 4 USB ports, CNR (Communications Network Riser) and AMR (Audio Modem Riser) slots. Most importantly, the VT82C686B brings about the ATA 100 support afresh that the earlier VT82C686A or the AMD 766 cannot provide.Read more
