GD Hardware has published a review of the Gigabyte GV-3D1 6600GT SLI video card

“They” say that two heads are better than one so it should stand to reason that two GPUs on the same PCB are better than one, right? Well, maybe. Long-time NVIDIA add-in board partner, Gigabyte, has released its 3D1 graphics card which uses the 6600GT GPU x2 – it offers excellent single card performance and is priced with an Athlon64 SLI motherboard – one of the few boards this card will properly work on.

Gigabyte is no stranger to releasing cutting-edge products; many of which have been a bit ahead of their time and the 3D1 – we feel – falls in between.
