According to the latest numbers from an Indian import tracking website, Microsoft has imported over 500,000 units of its competitively priced, entry-level smartphone, the Lumia 535, into the country

From Neowin:
According to Indian import tracking website, Zauba, Microsoft has imported 502,468 Lumia 535s into India since its launch in December. These devices are reported to be worth nearly $30,303,313. All of these were also manufactured in China as it is the country of origin for all the shipped 535s.

While the import numbers are not necessarily an indicator of the overall success of the device, it does reveal Microsoft's intentions to push them to as many consumers as possible. We will know more about the actual sales numbers when Microsoft announces its earnings within a week's time on January 26th.
