Dan´s Data has posted a review on the Hercules Game Theater XP

Hercules´ Game Theater XP sound, um, system (it´s not just a sound CARD...) certainly makes the grade if you rate PC gear based on show-off power alone.

Big butch black cable. Fancy connector-encrusted separate box. Knobs and little lights.

It seems to have ticks in all the right boxes on the API-support side, as well, and Hercules make much of its ultra-powerful hardware acceleration of, well, pretty much everything really.
