PureOverclock has published a review of the HIS 7950 IceQ X2 graphics card

As we’ve seen AMD and Nvidia bounced back and forth with their product launches over the last several months, the Radeon 7950 isn’t exactly a new model. In fact, it’s nearly the eldest of the current product lineup, but AMD isn’t a company to show all its cards right off the bat. After initially seeing reference designs, board partners were freed to produce custom 7950 cards, complete with improved PCB and power designs, pushing high overclocks, and topped off by fancy heatsinks. That’s exactly what we’re looking at today, in the form of the HIS 7950 IceQ X2.

This latest card from HIS sports the company’s redesigned IceQ X2 custom cooler. We’ve seen it once before in testing, and if history is any indication, we expect big things from this card, as HIS typically produces some extremely cool-running Radeon cards. The 7950 IceQ X2 also comes with a factory overclock and improved power design for those who want to overclock even further.

It’s certainly a massive card, but will that translate into better performance? Let’s find out.
