Control Review

Remedy always had a flair for the otherworldly, the supernatural, if you think about their portfolio of games. Even in Max Payne, their breakout title, they pioneered the slow-motion ‘bullet time’ effect in games modeled after the one seen in The Matrix movies. This allowed the titular character to effectively react to bullets while they were being fired, a superpower in its own right.

With Alan Wake, Remedy dived headfirst into a fully supernatural setting where the titular (once again) Alan Wake battles the encroaching darkness and those who have succumbed to it with the power of light, in addition to his own wits.

This has been an exciting year for the world of PC Gaming, for gamers and enthusiasts alike. For those who held out from buying an NVIDIA RTX graphics adapter last year, they received a treat this year with the release of a SUPER refresh from NVIDIA. In the RTX family, the 2060, 2070 and 2080 cards were given the SUPER treatment. Looking to the future, graphics are moving towards the path of ray tracing. From my experience, ray tracing is pretty impressive. That being said, the amount of games that utilize it are somewhat limited. However, that is sure to change as many titles coming out soon will have support for the technology, further immersing us into our games.

MSI RX 5700 XT Evoke OC Graphics Card Review

Now that we have custom Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards there are a lot of options to choose from. One of the more interesting cards and one that has had a lot of hype behind it is the MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT Evoke OC. The reason for all of the hype first comes from the design, which MSI has gone with a champagne-colored metal shroud and full-cover backplate. Then you have the fact that this card does not have a single RGB LED on it. And finally this card is overclocked, which should give you a few more FPS in games. This card is definitely unique, but is it worth picking up over all of the other custom Radeon RX 5700 XT cards out there? Read on as we find out!

Three X570 motherboards tested

Actually, I only wanted to compare three of the cheapest motherboards with an X570 chipset and a Ryzen 5 3600X, but I quickly found out that in the end you read out contradictory things that are not plausible and cannot be explained with logic. Therefore today the first attempt of a cause investigation and clarification takes place, however, with each solved question a new one arises immediately.

For some, consumer routers just don't cut it. I've seen it myself when testing routers before writing an article; a brand new router arrives I go through unboxing and setup only to have it fall flat on its face when I start up multiple streaming services or even better a router that just gets too hot from all the traffic and locks up or shuts down.
