Alienware 13 OLED Laptop Review: 13 Inches Of Gorgeous
There's a first time for everything, as the saying goes, and the Alienware 13 OLED is a first for us without question. Though there were a couple of OLED (Organic LED) display driven laptops at CES 2016 this year, Dell's Alienware division is the first in the door here at HotHardware with a retail ready product.Read full article @ HotHardware
Alienware revamped its 4.5 pound light-weight gaming laptop with the latest Intel 6th gen Skylake Core series processors, and although the external skins look virtually identical, there are a few other tricks under the lid of the AW13, not the least of which is its swank new OLED display.
Asus PCE-AC88 Dual-Band AC3100 Desktop Wireless Adapter Review
Asus is now the first company to bring a 4×4 802.11ac Ethernet adapter to market, in the form of the dual-band PCE-AC88. A small PCI-Express card, it’s intended for use in desktop PCs and is capable of the same fast 802.11ac performance that’s possible from 4×4 routers, with even faster speeds for any router that support a 1024-QAM configuration.Read full article @ KitGuru
Best SSDs: Q2 2016
Since the February edition of this guide, SSD prices havent moved much. The changes in our recommendations are mostly a result of new drives hitting the market and waning supply of outgoing models.Read full article @ Anandtech
There has been almost no tangible progress in the transition to new 3D NAND. The Crucial MX300 launched this week with a single model carrying 750GB of Microns 3D TLC, but the retail prices arent low enough to be competitive yet and availability is limited. The other big market shift of the year - to NVMe SSDs - is only a little further along. For the moment, Samsung retains a commanding lead on both fronts. These factors make this round of recommendations fairly boring as industry giants Samsung and SanDisk together dominate almost every corner of the market save for the very cheapest and slowest SSDs.
Budget All-round PC - June 2016
The all-round PC is a PC with comprehensive features for around £650 - £750 that can do a little bit of everything. It should have enough speed and capacity to meet your needs for some time. Currently it can run all applications, and you're able to upgrade it with small future investments when you need more power or storage capacity.Read full article @ Hardware.Info
Surfing, gaming, business applications, photo and video editing should all be possible on the all-round PC without giving you the feeling that it's lacking in performance.
Cherry MX-Board 3.0 Keyboard Review
Cherry are famed for their legendary keyboard switches, but they are less well known for producing their own keyboards. They have recently entered the market, however, and we have already analysed the Cherry MX 6.0 keyboard. The MX-Board 3.0 is an entirely different beast, though.Read full article @ KitGuru
Hitman (2016) review: DirectX 12-game tested with 22 GPUs
Hitman, a new action game developed by IO and published by Square Enix, was released a few weeks ago. Fans of the Hitman series will certainly have been looking forward to this series, but as one of the first games to support DirectX 12 upon launch, it’s also interesting from a technical point of view. Of course, we dived right in.Read full article @ Hardware.Info
The story of Hitman (2016) takes place after that of Hitman: Absolution, although the prologue is about events that took place before the series began. The game is played in third-person, and you have to stealthily take out enemies as much as possible. You can either snipe them, or stab them with a knife from close by.

Intel Skylake Graphics: Windows 10 vs. Ubuntu 16.04 + Latest Open-Source Driver Code
As part of the celebrations with Phoronix turning 12 years old earlier this month I ran some fun tests looking at the Windows 10 vs. Ubuntu Linux gaming performance with the new NVIDIA Pascal GPUs and also a Windows 10 vs. RadeonSI Gallium3D vs. AMDGPU-PRO comparison on the AMD side. To finish things up, here is a fresh comparison of Intel Skylake HD Graphics under Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04.Read full article @ Phoronix
For this testing Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64 was first tested with the latest public Intel HD Graphics driver. Following that tests were done under Ubuntu 16.04 both with the stock packages and when upgrading to the latest Git state: the Linux 4.7 kernel and Mesa 12.1-dev. Only when upgrading to the latest components (Mesa 12.0 and newer) is there OpenGL 4.3 support for Intel Skylake (and Broadwell) compared to OpenGL 3.3 as is found out-of-the-box on Ubuntu 16.04 with older Mesa releases. Thus only with the latest Git code is the Intel stack now capable of running many modern Linux games. For more details about games that do or don't work with the current Intel Linux driver, see the recent Trying Various OpenGL 4.x Games On Linux With An Intel Skylake Core i5.
MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G
While the GTX 1080 gets most of the attention with the new Nvidia launch, they did also introduce the GTX 1070 as well. While I wouldn’t say the GTX 1070 is a budget card, it is a high-end card that doesn’t hit the bank nearly as hard as the GTX 1080. You still get 8 gigs of ran and the same GP104 Pascal GPU but with a slightly lower clock speed and less CUDA cores. Today not only do we get a chance to see what the GTX 1070 is all about, but I also check out MSIs new card designs as well. With More cards coming from both AMD and Nvidia I’m sure we will be seeing a lot of this new design. If it’s anything like the last few MSI coolers it should perform well, but today I’m going to run it through our recently expanded benchmark suite to find out for sure.Read full article @ LanOC Reviews

The Meizu PRO 5 Review
The dominance of the smartphone market by Apple and Samsung is being challenged by several Chinese brands that are delivering surprisingly well-featured phones for a fraction of the price. Meizu, one of the smaller Chinese OEMs based on sales volume, trails Huawei, OPPO, and Xiaomi in market share, but is gradually building its brand centered around design and build quality.Read full article @ Anandtech
The Meizu PRO 5 has been available for some time now, and has even been supplanted by the PRO 6 as the companys flagship device, but Meizu plans to continue selling the PRO 5 alongside the newer version for the foreseeable future at a reduced price. The PRO 5 itself follows the MX5 and is the successor to the MX4 Pro, adopting a new naming convention that further separates it from the midrange MX series.
