Hi Tech Legion checked out the Icy Dock Blizzard 3.5" External Actively Cooled HDD Enclosure

Icy Dock is doing things the right way again with the new Blizzard 3.5” Extrenal HDD Enclosure. External HDD Enclosures are simple items, but the Icy Dock Blizzard enclosure takes all of the features one step further and couples that with outstanding build quality and engineering. On the performance end, the Blizzard offers USB 3.0/2.0 and eSATA connectivity to go along with 6Gb/s compatibility to get the most speed from your hard drive, but Icy Dock also adds a very interesting feature set. The Icy Dock Blizzard uses an 80mm fan with active cooling to keep your drive running cool. The fan features selectable high and low speeds, as well as an automatic setting which keeps the fan running at the optimal speed to cool the drive while remaining silent. The front of the Blizzard houses the fan, and features a low light blue LED which changes color to red to alert you should the drive reach fifty degrees Celsius. The brightness of the LED can be tailored to your liking with a continuously variable knob located on the back of the Blizzard. HDD installation in the Blizzard is completely tool free, and can literally be accomplished in seconds. The Blizzard also comes complete with USB 3.0/2.0 and eSATA cables, as well as a power supply.
