DirectX 12 will also add new features for next-gen GPUs

When Microsoft announced DirectX 12 yesterday, we learned that a broad swath of existing hardware would support the new API. That wasn't the whole story, however, as Nvidia's Tony Tamasi clarified in an interview with us today. It turns out that DirectX 12 will introduce a set of new features in addition to the lower-level abstraction, and those features will require new hardware.

Netgear Nighthawk R7000 AC1900 Wireless Router Review

Legit Reviews has been evaluating Wireless-AC devices for a number of years and has put off upgrading from a the original Netgear R6300 V1 router. Seagate Desktop SSHD 4TB

It's common knowledge that the appearance of consumer oriented Solid State Drives (SSDs) revolutionized the storage industry but even after several years in the market their price/capacity ratio is nowhere close to the one of regular mechanical drives and that's something that drives away casual consumers who are not really interested in getting the highest possible performance levels. Well because manufacturers know how the market works the next obvious step for them was to somehow marry the high performance levels of SSDs with the capacity of regular HDDs in order to dish out something just as fast but with higher capacity and lower price and out of that marriage hybrid drives were born. Unfortunately although the first attempts did offer some performance improvements at roughly the same price as regular HDDs they weren't very successful in convincing consumers that this was the way to go. Today we will be taking a very thorough look at the latest Desktop SSHD 4TB model which is actually Seagate€™s very first attempt in combining the speed of an SSD with the large capacity of a 3.5" HDD.

The Pen Is Mightier Than The Finger, Well Sometimes: Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 Review

Samsung introduced its Pro line of Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note tablets at CES in January. We had a brief chance to check out these new tablets while at CES and now we have the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 in house for a full hands-on review. As you may recall, this tablet features a 10.1-inch WQXGA display that supports a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

On paper, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has the hardware specifications we’d expect to see from a tablet that targets professionals who are looking for the “best of the best” including an impressive display, Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 2GB RAM, and 16GB of Flash storage. Samsung also claims the Tab Pro 10.1 can last for up to nine hours on a single charge.

In addition to powerful hardware, Samsung includes a number of unique software features with the Tab Pro 10.1 that bring additional functionality to the tablet. Let's have a closer look...

Thermolab LP53 Review

After we've had a look at Thermolab's ITX30 cooler, we're now reviewing the LP53. Both coolers are compact and mainly suitable for HTPC builds. Thermolab is known for producing high quality products, and at the first glance, this full-copper cooler perfectly fits into the company's line-up. So far we're rather curious to see what this little thing can do.

XFX TYPE01 Bravo Case Review

Over the past decade or so XFX have built up a great reputation for producing exceptional graphics cards and power supplies. They dabbled in motherboards for a while too, but the core business has remained the GPUs and PSUs (with the odd flurry into monitor stands and the like). Recently though XFX launched their first range of PC chassis. Today we have the Type01 Bravo case on our test bench and will find out how XFX have done at creating an enthusiast chassis.
