Microsofts soon to be released, next version of the Windows operating system, dubbed Windows XP, which is based on the Windows 2000 technology. Essentially, one can think of WinXP as Windows 2000 with a facelift – especially in the UI, or user interface area. For years, computer novices have complained that the Windows interface was too difficult and non-intuitive to pick up easily. WinXP aims to fix all that by simplifying the overall interface by making buttons bigger and easier to distinguish, and by adding some aesthetic changes to the look of the OS.
