Last week Intel officially launched their new generation of desktop processors. This week, they are in stores and ready to go, and we're ready to post our review!

With ties to mobile computing, it's no surprize that Core 2 Duo offers improved performance per clock speed than NetBurst, and generates far, FAR less heat. What we want to find out though, is how it compares to AMD's X2 CPU, now that AMD has cut their prices dramatically.
