Intel Core i7 4960X EE CPU / Asus X79-Deluxe Motherboard Review @ KitGuru

A little under two years after the release of Intel’s high-end desktop – Sandy Bridge-E – LGA 2011 processors and the corresponding X79 chipset, it’s time for the platform to go through its refresh phase. Featuring a die shrink from SB-E’s 32nm to 22nm, Ivy Bridge-E is intended to take command of Intel’s flagship line of high-end, consumer processors. Welcome Intel’s newest hexacore processor sat at the summit of the company’s desktop CPU line-up, the Core i7 4960X Extreme Edition.

Intel Core i7 4960X Review @ OCC

Overclocking on the Core i7 4960X was bit of a disappointment after pushing to over 4.7GHz on the Core i7 3960X Sandy Bridge Extreme with a core clock of only 4.44GHz possible on this chip fully Prime 95 stable. At 4.44GHz I had to push 1.42v through it to gain stability. A push to 4500MHz needed another boost in vcore that really was too high for daily use on Intel's 22nm architecture long term. It could be just my sample and is hopefully not the norm or average for the 4960X.

Intel Core i7 4820K and 4960X processor reviews @ Guru3D

You probably just read our six-core Core i7 4960X review and figured, dang that's fast. But for Ivy-Bridge-E there is one quad-core processor released as well. In this review we test the new four-core Core i7 4820K (Ivy Bridge-E) processor. This is the only quad-core IBE processor that Intel will release. But it is unlocked and as such direct competition for the Core i7 4770K. That alone is interesting as X79 as a platform offers more PCIe lanes. But how well will this processor fare against Intel's own pride and joy the 4770K ?

The Intel Core i7-4820k processors and other Ivy Bridge-E chips are released on the market this September, these CPUs are drop-in compatible with the well known X79 - LGA2011 infrastructure.

Intel Core i7-4960X Ivy Bridge-E Review: New flagship, old flagship @ Techspot

Haswell has been out in the wild for 3 months now, while Sandy Bridge-E has remained Intel’s "ultimate" desktop platform for almost 2 years. However as we had anticipated, Intel is now ready for a refresh of its Extreme platform, but they won’t be skipping the Ivy Bridge architecture and moving straight to Haswell. Rather, the LGA2011 platform is getting an upgrade with new Ivy Bridge-E processors.

Enter the Core i7-4960X which still features 6 cores, 12 threads, 15MB L3 cache, quad-channel DDR3 memory and is supported by the same aging X79 chipset. This doesn’t sound very exciting, so what’s new?

Kingston MobileLite Wireless Reader & Media Streamer @ NikKTech

With tablet sales increasing every day it was just a matter of time for most manufacturers out there to turn their focus towards that segment of the market to try and get a piece of the pie. Some manufacturers have introduced new tablet models others have further improved the entire tablet concept while others have just been offering compatible peripherals (so far). Kingston was amongst the first to do so with their quite successful wi-drive line a while ago but much like most first attempts there was something missing. True you could use it as a wireless WiFi storage drive but it came with limited storage capacity and at the end of the day it offered just that. Well Kingston has always liked to listen to what their buyers have to say/recommend and so they just recently launched an updated version of the Wi-Drive called the MobileLite Wireless (MLW221) which we've been testing for slightly over a week with very positive results.

CyberPower PC Zeus EVO Lightning 2000 SE System Review @ Ninjalane

An interesting question we are often asked is "what makes a good gaming system?" As enthusiasts of computer hardware wel often gravitate towards the most powerful hardware, fastest processor and latest graphics card on the market. Heck, sometimes we put more than one in there just for kicks. Of course the reality is, you don't need all of that and provided that you have a fast subsystem and decent video card the rest will just fall in place.

In this review we'll be looking at one of the newest gaming systems from CyberPower PC called the Zeus EVO Lightning 2000 SE. As the "Zeus" name suggests this is a powerful gaming PC based on the latest AMD hardware including the HD7970 and FX 9590 eight core processor. The entire system is housed in a large CFI Borealight chassis and comes in at an amazing $2069 USD.
