Intel Core i7-7700K (14nm+ Kaby Lake) Review
We examine an early sample. Historically speaking, the introduction of a new CPU architecture from either Intel or AMD has usually been preceded by fervent speculation, genuine excitement and bated breath. I remember with fondness - and also showing my advanced years - the move from the 486 to Pentium. Then later, after the misfiring Pentium 4 was taken to task by a slew of AMD Athlons and subsequently put to bed, the wholly impressive Sandy Bridge architecture arrived on the scene almost six years ago.Read full article @ Hexus
The mainstream and even premium space of the desktop CPU market has stagnated since then. Ivy Bridge, Haswell, Broadwell and Skylake have offered iterative improvements and, truth be told, were purposely designed with the mobile market in mind. Today I'm taking the Plextor S2C 512GB 2.5-inch solid state drive in for a closer look and some benchmark tests.Read full article @ eTeknix
TerraStation F2-220 2-Bay SMB Cloud Storage NAS Review
Today is a special day as it is the first time that I get to take a TerraMaster NAS for a spin in my testing area. TerraMaster might not be the most known NAS vendor, but they have a quite nice line-up of both NAS and DAS devices and today I'll be taking a closer look at the TerraMaster F2-220 small business and home cloud storage NAS server. TerraMaster is the NAS and DAS division of Noontec.Read full article @ eTeknix
