Bitcoin, Ethereum and Cryptocurrency: Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to Mining

Just a few years ago, the word “Bitcoin” was only well known in technological circles. Ask the average person what it was, and they would give you a worried look. But at the end of 2017, as the value of a single Bitcoin approached $20,000 from under $1,000 at the beginning of the year, everyone was taking notice. Mainstream news sites were leading on the headline, and stories proliferated everywhere. Bitcoin was a mainstream story.

Building a Ryzen PC yourself? With this tutorial you can!

Our Build your own PC tutorials have been about Intel-based systems so far. Since last year, AMD offers a range of parts that are a great alternative to the market leader. When it comes to sockets and cooling, it is somewhat different. It was therefore obvious to also offer a step-by-step manual for this platform.

Corsair Dark Core RGB SE Review

Plus a closer look at the MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mouse Pad. Gaming peripheral manufacturers have focussed on RGB illumination in recent years but the trend for 2018 is to cut the cord and go wireless. We've already seen good examples in the form of the HyperX Cloud Flight headset and Corsair K63 keyboard, and today we turn our attention to another wireless solution; the Corsair Dark Core RGB SE gaming mouse.

Corsair K63 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard Review

Corsair has released their new K63 Wireless keyboard, it's a tenkeyless design that saves on space and is easy to take along with you. However it's primary design was not mobility, it's intended for gaming, and in specifically paired with the compatible K63 gaming lapboard with you sitting in front of your telly. To be able to improve on that, this keyboard is wireless. And that wireless implementation is downright terrific thanks to Bluetooth. Next, to that, it's very responsive and has a proper range of a good 6-7 meters, that gives gaming on your Ultra HD telly on that big-screen a totally new meaning. While this is a keyboard review, we'll also include some photos of the lapboard that you can purchase separately. The keyboard itself as you will notice lacks numeric keys and adopts Cherry MX Red, the BLUE LEDs are equipped as a standard in the backlight, so there's no RGB functionality. The wireless connection supports Bluetooth 4.2 (2.4 GHz and 128-bit AES wireless encryption) but can also be connected through USB if you'd prefer that.

Corsair K63 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard Review

We’re slowly starting to see wireless mechanical keyboards hit the mainstream, and to tap into this new trend Corsair has released its first wireless keyboard, aptly named the K63 Wireless. If you have ever used the original K63, the K63 Wireless is essentially the same thing but with the option for a wireless connection via a 2.4GHz dongle or over Bluetooth. At £119.99, does that make the K63 Wireless good value for money?

Crucial BX300 480Gb SSD Storage Review

We’ve reviewed most of Crucial’s SSD product line over the years and it’s given us some good insight into their market placement and development. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age PC Review

The Final Fantasy series has managed, since the release of Final Fantasy VII, to become one of the most popular Japanese role-playing game series ever released. Following the release of Final Fantasy IX, which is, probably, the most traditional entry of the PlayStation era, the series has changed quite a bit: Final Fantasy X featured a linear experience and a new battle system and Final Fantasy XI broke conventions altogether, being an MMORPG. But it’s with Final Fantasy XII that Square Enix went all out, combining the single-player experience the series is known for with features introduced in Final Fantasy XI. The result was a game that proved to be divisive, but impressive nonetheless. Last year’s release of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on PlayStation 4 introduced plenty of welcome improvements to the game (some taken from the International version that has only been launched in Japan on PlayStation 2) and now PC players can finally see why Final Fantasy XII is such a different and unique Japanese role-playing game.

HyperX's Cloud Alpha gaming headset reviewed

Two years ago, I reviewed HyperX's Cloud Revolver, a newly-designed headset that branched out from the company's famous Cloud. In that review, I mentioned that I'd briefly tried out the Cloud II, the refreshed edition of HyperX's original. Unfortunately for me, the Cloud II was shipped off as part of a giveaway to some lucky soul, but even in its short time with me, it became the standard of a high-quality gaming headset in my mind.Since then, a number of Cloud headsets have succeeded the Cloud II, each with slight improvements or added features.

Leaked roadmaps confirm Coffee Lake-E/H/S & Cascade Lake-SP to remain focus in 2018

Intel in 2018/2019 The main roadmap confirms Coffee Lake-S to last until at least Q1 2019. Shortly after the rest of mid-range CFL-S SKUs become available Intel has plans to release Coffee Lake-H, consumer high-end gaming mobile series. The roadmap also lists Cascade Lake-SP as Skylake-SP replacement and Coffee Lake-E as Kaby Lake-E replacement. Mobile Interestingly the roadmap only lists two CFL-H processors: Core i7-8850H and i5-8400H.
