August Smart Lock with HomeKit Review

August Home is a company that currently specializes in automating doors. They make deadbolt locks, keypads, doorbell cameras, and a hub for remote access. When my parents recently mentioned they wanted to automate their lock I knew I wanted to keep it simple so I immediately thought of August. What I like about their deadbolt design is it doesn't require you to replace your keyed locks, just the part inside the house.

Cooler Master MasterMouse MM520 and MM530 Review

How do you make the perfect mouse? You start with the sensor. Something that has a good track record (pun intended). What about shape? Since that part is subjective, take cues from previous successful designs and reuse the shell. The last part is also equally critical. It has to be priced well.

Corsair LL120 RGB LED Fan Triple Pack Review

When it comes to releasing relevant, high quality computer peripherals that feature RGB lighting, Corsair has cemented themselves as one of the best in the industry, with a solid lineup of RGB-capable products constantly being released. Corsair began life as a cache memory manufacturer in 1994 and later expanded into the high performance DDR memory industry, competing with companies like Mushkin, OCZ and others. Corsair is still a respected DRAM manufacturer and even has a lineup of RGB DDR4 memory available, but they have also expanded into other territories with amazing success. Today, you will find many PC enthusiasts whose rigs feature Corsair AIO coolers, cases, fans, keyboards, memory, power supplies and more. I have been using Corsair components for over sixteen years, beginning with a set of their DDR memory on an AMD Thunderbird build, so seeing their expansion into a powerhouse peripheral manufacturer has been interesting.

Intel Core i5 8600K Processor Review

We'll review the more mainstream six-core proc from Intel as we put the Core i5 8600K through our benchmark paces. This $257 USD proc is again a six-core processor that you will need to seat on a Z370 chipset based motherboard. While it isn't fitted enabled with hyper-threading, it might however be one sweet gaming processor with its all-core turbo to 4.1 GHz and again it being tweakable to that 5.0 GHz on all six cores.

MSI Clutch GM60 Review

Worthy of consideration at £75? MSI is best known for its graphics cards and motherboards, but the Taiwanese manufacturer is keen to expand its portfolio with a renewed focus on gaming peripherals. Having previously dipped its toe in peripheral waters, the Dragon-branded outfit is hoping to offer stiff competition to established brands by introducing a new line of keyboards, mice, headsets, game controllers and mouse mats in the last quarter of 2017.

It's a development that shouldn't come as a surprise, and given that RGB lighting has become integral to most gamer-orientated components, it makes sense for MSI to offer peripherals that can sync with its internal hardware to create a unified show of illumination. Expect a wave of new devices, with plenty of emphasis on the Clutch GM60 mouse, in for review today.

MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon AC Review

A capable all-rounder for under £200. As many of you will now know, Intel introduced the 8th Gen Core processors and accompanying Z370 chipset last week. Now offering more cores and threads for your buck, the headline Core i7-8700K overclocks nicely while the six-core, six-thread Core i5-8400 is our pick of the new bunch.

If you have settled on your next upgrade being to this platform, which motherboard do you go for? Interesting question and one that we have attempted to answer with a look at boards from Asus and Aorus.

We now turn our attention to the final name on the 'big three' list - MSI. As expected, it has a number of Z370 boards that span the pricing spectrum for the new chipset. The one that has most caught our eye is the Z370 Carbon Gaming Pro AC, priced at around £190.

ThunderX3 TK50 Keyboard Review

With the ThunderX3 TK50 this time we have evaluated an illuminated keyboard with mechanical switches. There is also a live demo video of all LED effects on our YouTube Channel. The name ThunderX3 probably know the least. But the gaming peripheral manufacturer says of himself that he does not start at zero. Considering the fact that the company emerges from a department of the well-known manufacturer AeroCool, we believe it.
