Remember how some time back the Pentium M was benchmarked in a desktop environment and everybody got excited with the numbers it was posted? A small problem at that time was that the technology and features of the 855 chipset were limited or dated. Now some time back Intel updated their mobile chipset to the Alviso 915GM bringing all the goodies that we expect in a modern chipset such as a dual channel DDR2 interface, Serial-ATA and PCI-E x16. We’ve been waiting for a while for a desktop motherboard with that chipset for the Pentium M and one finally landed with us today.
