Adesso iMouse E10 2.4 GHz RF Wireless Vertical Ergonomic Mouse Review

The peripheral market is booming, there’s a huge range of products with a wide range of features available between each device, so finding something suitable for your needs shouldn’t be too difficult. Naturally, not all products are created equally and some are designed for a more niche part of the market than others, such as the iMouse E10 which we have in for review today. The E10 is one strange-looking mouse, with a design that is almost vertical. It has been crafted to help prevent or alleviate wrist strain while using your desktop computer; much in the same way that an ergonomic keyboard better suits the natural angle of your arms and wrists.

I’m not expecting the greatest performance in the world from this mouse, although the specifications do suggest that it’s pretty capable for day-to-day use in home or at the office, I don’t have huge expectations for using it in a gaming environment; although I’m still going to try.

ASRock Vision X 471D Mini PC Review

The ASRock Vision X 471D is an update of the Vision X 420D that was introduced about a year ago. This barebones is supplied without an Operating System, however the hardware is complete so you have no need to install memory, storage or anything else. On the one hand this is a simple job as the Vision X comes with a slot loading DVD drive so you simply insert your Windows disc (or USB flash drive) but on the other it is more involved than merely turning on your new laptop or PC.

Cougar 200K Keyboard & 200M Mouse Review

Cougar may not be the first name you think of when purchasing a new set of gaming peripherals, but the company has been pushing hard over the last year to create some very competitive products. Over the last few months especially, we’ve seen a stunning range of gaming mice and keyboards that have been winning over gamers around the world and it looks like Cougar is hoping to continue that trend with the release of their 200 series.

The 200K keyboard and the 200M mouse aren’t designed to be flagship gaming products, but they do seem to offer a nice set of features for general day to day usage, as well as occasional gaming. So while I doubt these are going to be snapped up by pro gamers around the world, your typical home PC user who spends more time browsing the web and working, maybe a couple of hours playing games on the weekend when they’re off work, are most likely the target audience for this new hardware. What better way to see how these two products perform, that to test them together!

The 200M comes equipped with a hard-wired black braided cable and a gold-plated USB connector.

Dell XPS 13 Review: Thin-bezel beauty

The ideal Windows laptop is very hard to find but the new XPS 13 ticks most boxes. It has a 13-inch display with a very slim bezel, the aluminium shell with a carbon fibre-style interior looks pretty darn good, there's a new Intel Broadwell Core i5 under the hood, and battery life is rated at up to 15 hours. The XPS 13 is a return to form for Dell in a big way.

IR-Repeater DIY guide - Remote control devices through a wall or in a cupboard

The new IR-Repeater solder guide makes it possible for you to accommodate your HiFi equipment and the TV receiver in a cupboard or even remotely control a PC, Media Player, etc. with a remote control unit from another room.
Infrared signals from a remote control do not transmit through a wall or in a HiFi cabinet, so this IR extender receives and modulate the IR signals and passes them via a cable to two IR transmitter diodes which are transmitting the signal to the respective HiFi equipment, HTPC, Media Player or PC with IR receiver.
So one can install a television for example in the living room and control the receiver in a cabinet or control the devices with an infrared remote in another room.
The electronic parts for soldering the new IR extension are available as an inexpensive kit at the OCinside.de Fanshop.

Portable USB Wall Charger Roundup

Quite often you’ll find yourself traveling to another city, state or country and be met with the all-too-common sinking feeling when presented with your hotel room power point options – only one or two annoyingly placed ports. If you’re like me, not only have you forgotten a power board, but you’ve got multiple devices to charge via USB ports. Furthermore, if you’re heading on a holiday or business trip – it’s likely that you’re carrying a myriad of battery-powered devices: a smartphone, tablet, smartwatch and GoPro being just the beginning of a very long list.
