VIA Hardware has posted a review on the IWill DVD266-R which is based on the VIA Apollo Pro 266 chipset and brings DDR memory to the SMP world.
The general configuration of the board is nice with the one AGP and six PCI slots. The onboard AMI RAID controller and four memory slots are great additions. I do have a few knocks with the layout, which I hope they change before the final release. The ATX Power connector is in a bad place, forcing the ATX power cord to stretch across the CPUs. Also if you notice the Floppy connector is located below the 6th PCI slot, again blocking air flow.Read more
