KitGuru: ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3 – Throttling at Stock!

With Intel’s 10th Gen processors becoming increasingly competitive thanks to price and availability improvements, there’s still plenty of life left in the LGA 1200 mainstream platform. That point is especially true with BIOS updates likely to permit for support of Intel’s upcoming 11th Gen CPUs. As such, the ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3 remains an interesting choice for SFF gamers, especially as it sits atop ASRock’s hierarchy of LGA 1200 Mini-ITX offerings.

KitGuru: Corsair MP600 Pro Hydro X 2TB Review

A year ago we reviewed the PCIe Gen 4 Corsair Force MP600 1TB with Phison E16 controller and more recently reviewed Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus 2TB with the new, faster Phison E18 controller. Those two reviews make ideal background reading for this review of the Corsair 2TB MP600 Pro Hydro X as it has a great deal in common with the Sabrent Rocket 4, including the Phison E18 controller and the use of 96-layer TLC NAND storage. The big difference is the Hydro X cooling block, which means this SSD is ready to be plumbed into your custom loop cooling system.

KitGuru: Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus 2TB SSD Review

We recently reviewed the 1TB version of Sabrent’s Rocket 4 Plus Gen 4 PCIe SSD, and now it is the turn of the 2TB model to go under the spotlight. Using a combination of Phison’s latest Gen 4 8-channel controller, the PS5018-E18, alongside 96-layer 3D TLC NAND, is this SSD worth the £400 asking price?
