AMD Ryzen 9 16-core overclocked processor scores 4346 in Cinebench

It seems that 16-core Ryzen 9 was already demoed at Computex. AMD Ryzen 9 16-cores: 3920X, 3950X? Since the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X borrowed the naming from Ryzen Threadripper, we are simply not sure how the next SKU would be called. The Ryzen 9 with 16-cores would utilize both dies, as opposed to Ryzen 9 3900X, which only uses 12 cores out of 16. An overclocked 16-core Ryzen based on Zen2 architecture would score 4346 points in Cinebench R15. That's more than twice than Ryzen 7 2700X and 2.5x more than Ryzen 7 1800X. Unfortunately, only multi-threaded performance was shown.

AMD: You will definitely see more Threadripper from us

A few weeks ago, when the latest AMD product roadmap was released, concerns were raised that AMD might have abandoned Threadripper 3000 for 2019, as it was no longer present in the roadmap.  AMD Threadripper 3000 is coming, with even more cores PCWorld took part in the post-conference meeting with Dr. Lisa Su. AMD CEO confirmed that Threadripper is not canceled.

Cooler Master Masterbox Q500L Review

The Masterbox Q500L is a compact chassis that still allows for a full-size ATX board to be installed. That, however, is not what makes it unique. It is the way that the case may be used as both a tower or desktop with the freedom to install fans or liquid cooling nearly anywhere and the ability to move the I/O panels around as well.

Linux Still Yields Better Multi-Threaded Performance On AMD Threadripper Against Windows 10 May 2019 Update

Curious whether the recent Microsoft Windows 10 Version 1903 (May 2019 Update) improved the multi-threaded performance at all for the likes of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX, I recently carried out some benchmarks looking at Windows 10 1903 against the former Windows 10 Version 1809 release benchmarked against both Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS and the latest Ubuntu 19.04.

WD Black SN750 1TB Solid State Drive (with Heatsink) Review

Not that long ago we took a look at Western Digital’s SN750 solid state drive, but it was the initial drive, not the one with the integrated heatsink. When Western Digital first announced the SN750 they showed it with this very sexy heatsink designed by EK Water Blocks. While you don’t need the heatsink, the drive works perfectly fine without it and does not overheat, the heatsink just looks so awesome it will definitely add that little bit of extra flare to your build. As a reminder this drive offers sequential read and write speeds of 3470 MB/s and 3000 MB/s respectively so let’s jump in!
