X-bit labs has posted a review on the Maxtor D740X-6L Harddisk

We reviewed Maxtor D740X HDD, which deserves being called a really high-quality product: it boasts 40GB platters and supports new ATA/133 protocol. Our tests showed that it is a well-balanced solution, which can potentially become a worthy competitor to Seagate Barracuda ATA IV and IBM Deskstar 60GXP in terms of performance and, of course, in terms of price.
