Microsoft made it official on Wednesday that it will deliver lower-priced Standard Edition flavors of its Itanium and AMD Opteron Windows Server 2003 releases next year. (It also is adding an Enterprise Edition of Windows Server for AMD Opteron to its line up, as well.)
