Microsoft has released two updates for Microsoft Office 2016. The first update fixes an issue in which you may receive an error message when you use an ADODB.Recordset object while the second update improves translations for multiple language versions of PowerPoint 2016.

This article describes update 4484247 for Microsoft Office 2016 that was released on March 3, 2020.

Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to Office subscription or Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home (see  What version of Office am I using?).

Improvements and fixes

This update fixes an issue in which you may receive an error message when you use an ADODB.Recordset object. The error may occur after you use a Recordset object, close it, and then use another Recordset object.
